I’ve seen some confusion online regarding whether it is explicitly stated, or just implied.

On page 5, transgender ideology is labelled as pornographic, and “its purveyors” are classified as “child predators”, along with school teachers and librarians.

On page 554, it criticises the soft enforcement of capital punishment and champions the use of it for the “sexual abuse of children”.

We know that they don’t actually mean child sexual abusers, because they’re certainly not sentencing members of the clergy to death. This will be explicitly be used for queer people and educators who resist evangelical teachings.

These statements are 500 pages apart but they are indeed linked.

Please share this with anyone who is under the misapprehension that this is not their end goal.

Make all child sex offenses subject to the death penalty.
Ergo, existing as a trans person in any space a child could possibly be is now a capital crime.

If you want to know where they're going to go next with this, it will be:

Redefine "child" to mean unmarried females regardless of age, as well as males below a certain age.

I think it’s important to remind ourselves of what is at stake. I’ve been thinking a lot about WWII and what happened in Germany leading up to it. This isn’t exactly the same, but there are elements that are alarming.

While I hate the prospect of civil war and the horrific loss of life it would cause, fighting to reclaim our democracy and freedoms would be worth it.

As dark as things seem right now, things were really dark during WWII for so many, and yet the world recovered. In a civil war, nuclear weapons seem like an unlikely option considering the mutual destruction of land we share. As long as that’s off the table (I have to hope it is), then there is a path to eventual recovery, if not for us, then at least for our children and grandchildren.

I really hope it doesn’t come to that, but if Trump wins and does what he says he’ll do and uses the P2025 playbook, then innocent people will be executed. I can’t stand idly by if that happens.

Peaceful protest wouldn’t do anything. At that point it would become a battle for survival for many of us and a fight for democracy itself.

There's another part where they talk about "expelling people with gender dysphoria." A few paragraphs before it they use the word "expell" when referring to illegal immigrants.

I see the correlation you make, but I think they'll reserve the death penalty for people who have committed actual heinous crimes. It's more likely they will deport trans people.

The only thing is, neither will happen regardless of the outcome.

Like, if any of the most extreme interpretations of project 2025, happen, this country will go to war.

Obviously, this way of thinking is disgusting. And as someone who’s queer, I know that I’ll be one of the ones against the wall first if Trump is elected. But … I just can’t make heads or tails of this sentence. Not even a full sentence, just a clause. Like, I get that they think that any queer identity is automatically sexual in nature, and any identity that goes against the gender binary is doubly so (hence: all drag queens are disgusting perverts and child molesters) but … well. Pornography is media specifically designed to sexually excite. Not be a little titillating, not just hint at sexual acts to come. If two characters in a movie start flirting and telling each other dirty jokes, that’s not pornography. We can argue if it’s appropriate or not, but nobody is jacking off to “that’s what she said” type jokes. And they seem to think that just saying “hey, little girl! Do you sometimes feel like you’re not a girl at all, but actually you’re a boy? Well maybe you are!” or however they think that conversation is going down, is not on the same level as lewd joking and flirting but rather on the same level as a person actively masturbating. Which, again, even if you buy into their philosophy that all queer identities are intrinsically sexual in nature in a way that, somehow, straight relationships aren’t … is still nonsense. It’s still fearmongering and intentionally inflammatory.

I know that this little tirade isn’t really going to do anything or even convince anyone of anything. It just struck me as a sentence made up by a person using big words to sound smart but ending up with a word salad that is just nonsense. That’s not how language works. Words have definite meanings, and you can’t take something controversial that means one thing, water it down so that it barely means anything, then wield it like a weapon to try and win emotional points. Either it means something very specific or it’s a general term with a vague meaning. You can’t have it both ways.

So it's like most things conservatives do: there's a law but they break it when there's no one willing to stop them. For example the 10 commandments thing in Louisiana. They all know it's against the first amendment, but they had enough support to get it passed through their state Congress and signed by the mayor. They'll enforce that law until there's a lawsuit that makes it way up to the SCOTUS. Same thing with this thing: they'll make it the law that you can give the death penalty for something like this until someone brings a case up to the SCOTUS.

It’s scapegoating. They don’t mention LGBTQ+ as a whole because they make up a sizeable number of the population at 7.6%.

Trans people make up 1.4%. A smaller percentage provides less of a risk of losing votes.

Jews made up 0.75% of the German population in the 1930s and Hitler was somehow able to convince the masses that they were a threat to society.

No, it says for the sexual abuse of children.

A 'child predator' who doesn't abuse children doesn't necessarily mean the death penalty.

This sub is starting to deteriorate as more people roll in and make claims that rely on stretching the facts.

We can't effectively fight Project 2025 by misinforming people. It erodes trust and accuracy when people claim to have proof that they don't actually have.
