I once had a stacked order to a elderly lady who I will chat with during slow days waiting for orders. She didn’t answer the door nor was on the porch as usual so I delivered the 2nd order a few blocks away and returned to her house, dang near looked like a burglar trying to break in (looking in all windows and doors) finally was able to see her signal me to come in… long story short she was having a bad low sugar episode and that’s why she had ordered a frappe. I canceled my dash and spent the next hour making sure she was ok and just chatting. Hasn’t ordered in a long time hope she’s still alive as her kids were terrible and wouldn’t lift a finger for her.

I will sometimes come home multiple times while dashing and I crate my dog when gone(separation anxiety) but she’s learned the dasher noise and will head for her crate before I even have my keys. Definitely Pavlov law! Brb going to give her loves!

What is womp womp had to auto correct the hell out that… made up words for upvotes?

When I cover with hand it continues to flow to tank… I need new cut off valves, I have never done that but need all 3 done for these reasons alone. I just thought that may have to go into the wall to do so. It does sound like it would be a good time to learn is it usual to redo cut off valves without cutting into walls? Also after our chat I do think it’s the bottom wax seal that’s the issue but am still concerned about cut off valve question as I need to do all 3 as all are non functioning valves(old house). I had it in my mind that was something that couldn’t be done without some wall removal.

I misstated myself I do not believe it is that seal between tank and bowel but perhaps the seal under the toilet that is leaking with no “apparent” mess but draining the tank to the bowel and then to the basement…without me seeing it happen or the remanence of it happening. Is that a possibility why there would be no water around the toilet leaking but the tank won’t fill but continues to bowel then therefore basement…so basically pull entire toilet up and redo seal under and replace… also try to enlist help to see where tank water is going(likely basement)

I may have to refer to a family friend best I can bc as stated the floor isn’t getting wet until it flows enough from tank into (clogged toilet) I’m just unclear as how if I cover the entire whole with my hand that even if the flapper is wrong and is (universal from lowes and I believe it to be correct) tank won’t fill just continues to toilet bowel. Sheesh I’m not a fan of plumbing and some of it or most isn’t rocket science. I wonder if because of a clogged toilet that it is indeed leaking at THAT seal unbeknownst to me and still filling the clogged toilet quite quick. (The clogged toilet is going to take some snaking possibly rented equipment but the current goal is to get this toilet to fill tank and stop as I have 2 other complete bathrooms. All happens so quick hard for me to be everywhere at once even though all plumbing is above head in basement toilet fills quickly and will make a mess with just me working the main water cut off outside.

Ok then I have misrepresented the label term but I believe the flapper to fit and is brand new and I can put my hand over the outlet to the toilet from the tank to stop any flow but the toilet still fills with any water from tank. What’s in between flapper inside tank and the toilet bowel itself… I’m thinking that’s the part I’m trying to say.

Piece between the tank flapper and the base of toilet?

Ok I never post just lurk but due to financial constraints need some advice.

I have a toilet that the cut off valve will not function correctly. I have replaced all the guts in the tank but any water that is suppose to stay in the tank flows to the toilet (and due to another issue the toilet is clogged cannot turn on my main water without risk of quickly making a horrible mess.

Is this piece called a “wax seal?”

I have 2 other bathrooms I just need to be able to turn main water on and toilet fill tank and stop per usual as I can use others until future corrections. Any advice is welcome thank you in advance.

This joke is fire!
