Newbie Question: After 4 “dirty tan suits” I finally found a clean one. If I keep wearing it, will it get dirty? Cause’ my boy’s a killer right now
QuestionJust wish you could ballistic weave it.
On xbox they added a mod called clothes not armor. Its great not wearing summer shorts.

I actually can’t find what they were talking about. I see a mod named that that lets you wear armor over any cloths but I don’t see one that lets you turn cloths itself into armor like suggested.

You can get ballistic weave by just doing the PAM missions for the railroad, it doesn't disappear if you choose to ctrl+alt+dlt them from existing lol
Sure, but they meant being able to apply the weave. There are some odd limitations on what you can and cannot put it on in vanilla.

Sorry for digressing, but when the help does the ballistic weave become available? I’ve done 2 P.A.M.-missions, placed at least 5 of Tinker Tom’s MILAs, a couple of missions for the surly doctor who’s name is escaping me at the moment and 2 or 3 of Desdemonas missions. I’m currently at level 63 and have sunk almost 200 hours into this playthrough. Pretty sure I got it much faster last time I played Fallout 4, but that’s like 8 years ago now and I’ve forgotten exactly how it went down then. Anybody have any idea?
Just keep doing Pam missions until you get the one called jackpot. She has a random order on her missions afaik

Im assuming its just that the fallout in general doesnt like black suits haha. I mean vegas had its black suit bugged on all Male Models and it would only show up as the tan suit model.

Here's the neat part you can (through mods available on console).
Pretty certain you can apply ballistic weave. You just can't use additional armor on top of it. At least I was able to ballistic weave my tuxedo. I guess maybe not the clean suits for some reason?

The clean black suit in Fallout 4 cant get upgraded with a ballstic weave modification but every other suit can.

Would make a pretty cool mod, though. Make all clothing slowly transition from clean to dirty, and add in washing machines you can build at settlements to clean them.

Yea I just finished playing Kingdom Come Deliverance for the first time a month ago. Having to constantly wash yourself and your clothes was a bit annoying. Especially given the charisma nerf when you're dirty.
I barely like doing laundry in the real world, but I guess the Charisma nerf is pretty realistic. Nobody wants to talk to a smelly person
Your character would get dirty ridiculously fast too. If I'm running through the forest getting in fights, I get it. But just riding on my horse? Cmon man. It's especially annoying when you're in a cutscene and everyone else is spotless and you look like a hobo.

Clothing doesnt change in fallout 4. If a suit is (dirty) it will stay dirty and if its (clean) it will stay clean no matter what.
It's mostly a fashion thing. You dont have anything to worry about.

I dress all human companions in Tuxedos and formal hats. Sunglasses, as well. Add combat armor when not in power armor.

Yep add in the maxed out 'Deliverer' silenced 10mm pistol and you might as well be Daniel Craig (or for my generation a younger Sean Connery). I have a character that I did that with and using V.A.T.S and the ability to cycle through targets it's like a scene out of 'The Kingsmen' films!

There's no way to 'clean' anything in this game.
Nope they are seperate items with different item codes altogether im sure if you wanted this to happen you can either swap between them for roleplay or find a mod to do so but in base game they wont change on you dont worry.

What a cool feature that would be! I don’t want to have to repair what I wear after each hostile encounter (at least not gear stats wise) but some sort of physical damage would still be so cool!
Baldurs Gate 3 does it really well. You get cosmetic bloodstains and dirt on your characters in combat, but it's automatically washed off each time you rest for the night. All the immersion, without the hassle of having to look after it manually.
I forgot at what point/where/how but I know you can line and benchmod those things to be super durable.
