***Issue resolved. My ISP had blocked my blog for absolutely no reason. Just because. Go figure.***

I have had my blogspot blog since 2008 and now suddenly, I am getting this "Secure Connection Failed" error every time I try to load it. It doesn't matter what browser or device I use, it continues to do this. I haven't changed any settings or done anything different to it. I have several other blogs under that same Google account and they are all loading fine. It is only this one blog that is doing this. I can go into the settings etc, but I cannot view any post unless it's in edit mode. I've toggle off and on the HTTPS secure mode option to no avail. It makes 0 difference.

I don't know who to turn to anymore. I can't contact Google, as I can't find a way to. I posted the problem in their community help forum but still haven't received a reply. Did I lose my blog for good after all of these years? Has anyone experienced this before and been able to resolve it?

Hey guys so I’ve been messing with CSS for far too long now and I can’t get this to work for some reason.

I’ve taken the image ID from the URL in drive, and it’s set to public. And I put it into this:

body {

background-image: url(‘google drive url’);

background-repeat: no-repeat;

background-position: center;

background-size: cover;

}

^ I’m on mobile so visualize without the spaces.

It works for images from image hosting sites, but for reason it will not work with Google drive and I don’t know why.

If no one else knows, do you guys know of good image sites to use instead? I’ve never used Imgur or anything of the like before.

Hello everyone, I am a freelance illustrator. I'll cut this short, I want have a blogspot that can be used as portfolio site and personal artwork site. I already use art station for the portfolio but I would love to have a blogspot too, where I can post more freely. Currently I have one but I am struggling with it.

I would like the blogspot to have a dropdown menu, where I can click and a new page appears with appropriate works. And that page should contain my works. Is it possible with blogspot? Can anyone help, if possible i would like to have more customizations.

I recently started a website using a trendy template on Blogger. It looks pretty good on my computer, but when I check it on my phone, the layout isn't great.

The weird thing is, when I scroll around, I can see a web version that actually looks good on mobile. Is there any way I can make this web version the default for mobile users?

I'm not too tech-savvy, so if anyone has any simple solutions or tips, I'd really appreciate it! Thanks in advance.

For some reason my blog <ceulilaceo.blogspot.com> redirects me to some ads and bizarres websites, spams mostly.

I can't edit the settings in the app or google website and I just don't get why.

I was searching for a couple phone numbers that have in the past actively been involved in committing fraud. The search results showed a different blogspot.com site for each and the snippet of the site in the search results had a few other phone numbers as well. When visiting the site though, there was no content.

Is it possible those sites have some malicious code that is designed to perpetrate further scams or fraud when visited. Or does anyone have any idea why the search results would make it look like there are phone numbers on the blogspot when they are actually just blank pages?

Issue: I've been using WEBP images on my blogger website, but I just realised that... Google automatically converts them to JPEG!, which defeats the purpose, of course.
Is there anything that can be done to avoid this?

Hi everyone. I'm new here, so I apologise in advance if I'm asking a dumb question...
I have a Hi-Fi themed news site based on Blogger (www.musicaesom.pt) and I would like to post several images inside some posts as a "gallery".
I know that if there is more than one image on a post and if someone clicks an image, the pics will enlarge and there are thumbnails below that you can click. But that is only after someone clicks an image, and I want the gallery/slider/carousel to be visible in the first place.
I had experience with hosted services, such as Weebly, where it is super-easy to use galleries. However, not only Blogger doesn't have that option baked into the CMS, but I can't find any code that I could use as such.
Any ideas?

For some reason, inserting an image by URL does not work. Am I the only one like this?

I have a links list in the sidebar, but I'd like to put it here. Is this possible, because I can't find any reference to Share or Labels links in the theme manager.

A few months ago, there was a major AdSence error that conflated all Blogspot blogs and being one and the same. I posted about it back then:

Google eventually seemed to fix it, but it looks like the issue is cropping up again to the point where AdSense is just removing all subdomain distinctions. I got this email yesterday:

We would like to let you know about a change we plan to make that may impact your AdSense for Search (AFS) account.

We identified an issue in our site reporting that makes it possible for AdSense to report for a large amount of subdomains. Google AdSense monitors and limits the number of subdomains in AdSense reporting to ensure system stability and long-term health of the network.

In 15 days, on Mar 13, 2024, we will stop reporting subdomain in site reporting in all AdSense for Search (AFS) accounts. The change will remove subdomains from site reporting and instead report the domain name.

Example: Traffic on ‘adsense.google.com’ will show in reporting under site as ‘google.com’.

Obviously, this doesn't make sense for Blogger users. All our blogs are just subdomains on the blogspot.com domain. So how would AdSense reporting work for us? The email makes no indication of this.

I hope Google is aware of this potential issue. If any of you are active in Blogger support forums, maybe bring this to staff attention and/or share any updates/responses here. This could be a huge issue for Blogger users that have monitized their blogs and don't use a custom domain.

I launched my Blogger site a month ago and it's still not indexed. Meanwhile, my Medium site was indexed in days and is already ranking. Is this typical?

Looking for a blogger “unknown record store”

It was a blog from 2010ish about a record store, it had stories about someone drinking anti freeze and another about an astronaut I think? I think the store was in South Carolina but I could be remembering wrong
