It can be a credit card product that currently exists, a modified version of it, or one entirely from your imagination. Please try to keep things at least somewhat realistic in terms of what could actually be offered. I'm sure everyone would love to have a card that gave them 100% cash back on all purchases with no fees, but no lender would actually offer such a card because it would be a total loss for them.
If the CSP and WF Autograph had a baby, that would be the best CC. Give me all the Autograph multipliers, add 3X groceries, CSP travel protections and turn the $50 hotel credit into a statement credit.
Bro you’re onto something, this would really have me keep CSP forever if it covered all of those categories/protection and could be used abroad too for only $95 annual fee!
If WF were able to give their autograph cards the transfer partners from Bilt, they would already be better than Chase for everyday spend.
It’s not too crazy to think one might come down the line. They already know how many people want that as a bonus category for the Flex. I think it’s even a SUB for it now.
I want one where somebody else pays the bill.. nothing fancy, I’m a simple man
Hahaha my dream, unlimited card on someone else name
Lol
I'll raise you to a simple 105% cash back card, unlimited. $1 AF because I'm not a greedy monster like some others posting here.
I wouldn't mind be an authorized user on Warren Buffett's Green Amex.
Identity theft is not a joke Jim! Millions of families suffer every year!
I was thinking more along the lines of a sugar daddy
😂
😉 Technically that is how credit cards work but I guess you just want somebody else to not go after you after a couple of months
become the favorite granddaughter of a farmer
If I had a dream about a credit card, I'd be worried! The best cards are usually the simplest ones, so a no-fee card with strong cashback for all purchases is what I prefer in a card.
A few weeks ago I had a dream I applied for 50 cashback cards. I was excited opening all the envelopes in front of my family while explaining the benefits of each one. I also had a few instances of deep regret when I realized I already had another card with the same cashback category. My family (rightfully) stared me down the whole time like I needed professional help 😂
You pretty much explained my CC portfolio: **First-time Poster, Long-time Lurker – Seeking Discussion/Critique/Feedback Regarding My MAX Cashback (w/ some travel) Credit Card Setup That Generates 5% or More on Most Categories** :
lol
5% cash back, no fee credit card. I've got cards with 5% cash back categories, so I think 5% cash back on everything is a possibility. A low credit union level APR would be icing on the cake.
PCMCU has one that gives 5% cash back on the first $1K of purchases each month. 9.88% APR and $10K-$25K limits. There is definitely a reason this CU is so geofenced. lol
do you hate merchants or something?
I don't hate merchants. Credit cards are offering perks to get us to use their card. Some merchants are revolting by charging a fee when cards are used. Other merchants are hiding the fee by raising the cost of goods or service for everyone. A few merchants are biting the bullet and taking the hit to their profits. The market will determine the winner of this battle. The casualties (or could they be martyrs?) are the merchants that card users hate because they don't hide the fee or take the hit.
... it was just a joke.
I feel you. That would be just perfection. I use Winden and it has cashback but it does have a fee, although I usually pay it off with the cashback anyways.
Altitude Reserve gives unlimited Priority Pass visits and adds the same transfer partners as Wells Fargo.
I'm really surprised the US Bank hasn't added transfer partners yet, now that Wells Fargo has finally entered the game, I'm hoping that pushes them to finally add someone especially since they used to host several different Airline credit cards.
And I bet transfer partners would cost them less than 1.5cpp
Not only this but, to be able to combined points from other USB cards to the AR.
USBAR + USBAGO banking points together would be the GOAT setup for me.
I'd like one of those unlimited cards the govt gives contractors who go into a hotzone. Like a civilian mechanic on an airfield in a foreign country, but without all the risk. I knew someone who basically had one of these unlimited cards, he was expected to use it for 'anything responsible'. Except I wouldn't be in the hotzone and I wouldn't be responsible.
BCP with no caps, 3% Dining added, and $200 AF. I wouldn't need any other card.
I love this idea. I’m a little more greedy though - give me 6% on dining on the BCP and 3% on dining with the BCE.
I got a chase freedom unlimited with 1 year of 5X bonus on groceries and gas, if this is forever, this is already my dream card!
I got this on the freedom flex
Realistically: Amex Gold that actually has an identity as the dining card…or 2 MR on everything else category.
Amex Alloy - Platinum (lounge access, 5X airfare) but swap most of the credit things for better earning: the 4x groceries/dining of Gold plus 2x catchall from BBP. Oh, and un-nerf the PP membership: bring back dining benefits!
5% cashback on everything.
This is amazing!!!! Thank you!
Note: it has a cap of $50 per month. This means that you get the 5% on your first monthly $1000. It's still good.
Looks like you have to be employed near Green Bay Wisconsin to open accounts. I hope a fellow redditor proves me wrong!
Someone on this sub-reddit that is a member MUST be our long lost cousin right?
I never apply for AF CCs, but I never knew something like this even existed. Thanks man!
Schwab Amex Gold, just let this fat boy have his cake and eat it too!
It would be a dream if we could transfer points from different US Bank cards to the USBAR.
Trying to be somewhat realistic. Savor Rewards. 5% back on dining, entertainment, and Uber/UberEats plus free UberOne for $200/yr.
honestly even if they just made the Savor have 4% on groceries I would take it.
I’m sure some credit union has it but: - 3% flat cashback, points have atleast 1c redemption, higher value if used towards travel or other redemptions. (That won’t get nerfed within a year) - 95$ AF or less - Extended warranty
This is essentially the Robinhood Gold card, no? Except no AF (well, Gold membership).
Yes but rh is gonna nerf the rewards program so quickly. Even in general they are sketchy
Most likely, but get it while the getting's good!
CSP but with global entry credit, add 3x on gas&EV, travel, and groceries and $50 travel statement credit instead of hotel credit.
Easily the Amex platinum. I would enjoy those lounges like crazy!
You’re a dream customer for Amex TBH
12% apr
5% cashback on highest spend category, 2% all else
0 cash advance, balance transfer, and foreign transaction fees
0 annual fee
Something similar to the Amex send and split feature with Venmo link, where you can send money to friends with 0 fees and only the standard APR interest
0 atm fee withdrawals
Customizable card, upload your own image or custom stock photos
Metal, plain flat lettering, all info on one side of the card
Partner rewards incentives with Uber eats, door dash, Amazon, extra cashback or membership reimbursements
Payment plans for large purchases over 250, 0 interest if paid in equal amounts for 6 to 12 months
Able to link to cash app, venmo, zelle, etc
Reimburse fees for adding to 3rd party services like those
Ability to make virtual cards for one time use, multiple use, set budget use, trial use, 24 hour use, or use for only a specified duration of time
This would be the best card ever. I'd happily pay an annual fee for it too
I haven't come across it yet, so if anyone knows any card that has all of the following, let me know, please.
Accepted in most nations outside of the US.
No FTF.
No AF.
5% in chosen two categories and then 2% the rest.
A premium travel card with transferable points, but with 10x on dining for six months. And if you refer a friend, you get an additional 10x on dining for three months. And the offers stack for 20x.
A man can dream.
Amex Centurion card personally. It’s the card where if you have enough money to have it, point multipliers are nothing
Yes, and you’re getting access to services, events and travel options that points can’t get you.
That card is a real life cheat code
USBAR with no annual fee.
Taking inspiration from all the best parts of the cards I have, this card would be marketed towards US based families that don't travel often; a daily driver.
- No AF
- No FTF
- Metal
- Visa
- Unlimited 3X on groceries (including wholesale), gas/EV, dining, and mobile wallet
- 2X up to $500 each month on a category of your choosing (from bills/utilities, streaming, gym memberships, home improvement, and entertainment)
- Unlimited 1X on everything else
- Points are worth 1 cpp if you have a standard banking relationship, 1.1 cpp if you have $25,000, 1.25 cpp for $50,000, 1.5 cpp for $100,000+
Imo this mixes the best parts of rotating category cards, specific category cards, catch all cards, points vs. cash back, and banking relationship tiers. I think this is realistic, but feel free to convince me otherwise.
The WF Autograph with groceries added as a category!!
No AF 100% CB Card
Why stop at 100%?
Relax Mr Beast
Okay but what if Mr Beast had a credit card and you earned points by completing his ridiculous challenges (and let’s just rule out that getting the cash instead is an option). 1M point sign on bonus, but you have to tread water for 24 hours in snake infested waters. Earn an additional 150k points by doing it blindfolded.
Sounds like a full time job
Ideally a $0 AF with 5% cash back on dining, gas, and groceries with 2-3% back on all other categories. Wet dream lol
I like my Alaska card, but I wish it had the option of receiving anniversary miles instead of the companion certificate
Citi Prestige with Chase&Amex-level customer service.
the OG Citi prestige though with the free golf rounds and AA lounge access and stuff
Yup miss 2017.
Realistic?
- Apple Card 3% Apple Pay/2% everything else
- US Bank Cash+ ground transportation included bridge tolls 5% category, 2% everything else
Not quite the same, but PayPal has a credit card that’s 3% through PayPal and 2% if not like you’re thinking with the Apple Card, of course it’s not made of titanium though…
The paypal card is getting the 2% reduced to 1.5% very soon, fyi
Not anymore :(
Any credit card that gives 5 percent or more cash back.
https://pcmcu.org/loans/credit-card/ This was listed by someone else, apparently it’s got an AF but I can’t find where it says how much it is.
I checked this too. Apparently this card is not for everyone?
It's $50 Max back each month though and it's a $49 dollar annual fee. Fee is waived if tour a member. But not terribly enticing
Honestly… and i mean Honestly and realistically… The Robinhood 3% Card that is coming out. Complete Money Management in one app is the tits
BofA Unlimited Cash rewards but with 2% instead of 1.5% and no FTF.
Without the Preferred Rewards boost it is only 1.5% cash back, but it can be boosted to 2.625% with 100K in assets at Bank of America / Merrill. The BofA Unlimited Cash Rewards card reminds me of the Capital One Quicksilver in terms of card design and flat-rate cash back. The Capital One Quicksilver already has no FTF, so it would be nice if they could bump it up to 2% cash back from 1.5%.
Oh I know it!
At 2% base, that card would then be 3.5% for us with Preferred Rewards Platinum.
No FTF would be icing on the cake.
Amex Diamond - Limited Edition 200th Anniversary

3x all purchase 5x restaurants and groceries 6x all travel, no amex portal restriction
Hyatt Explorist + Access to Hyatt transfers Marriott Platinum Hilton Diamond

All Plat and Gold's benefits but better

$500 credit for FHR or THC bookings
$300 partner airline credit no longer limited to incidentals
Entertainment credit now converts to higher tier membership access to Netflix, Hulu, Disney, ESPN
Fat Annual Fee
Had to include credits and annual fee cause its an Amex card
Card is a heavy metal with shiny diamond holographic glossing for the word "Diamond" on a metallic light blue card
An Amex card that gets me into their lounges but without a giant annual fee. Or at least one with a more usable coupon book.
There's a few airport terminals that I go to a lot (OAK for southwest) that only have Amex lounges.
Amex Lounges are too overcrowded already
Firefighters First CU Visa Signature. This credit card has more Insurance packed into it than the American Express Centurion or any Visa infinite card (this is a true fact)
If I'm dreaming, whichever is in Elon Musk's wallet right now. I doubt he'd let me borrow it though.
Alaska as a transfer partner on Amex or C1 or Chase
3-5% cash back on misc categories.
One where priority pass is actually useful
Family friendly answer: one that cooks me dinner
I know it’s a long shot but if AMEX is increasing Gold’s AF , all I need is 5x on groceries , dining and all travel .
What I want is a credit card that links to all my other cards and automatically charges the correct category to the correct card, so it can truly be the one card to rule them all. I think something like this existed at some point but i don't remember off the top of my head what happened to it.
One where when I use it rent will go down and also someone else pays my bills
The concierge service is just a golden retriever you call on FaceTime
He doesn’t help you do anything but helps your day get better by being cute
Chase Freedom Unlimited with 2x UR points and no FTF.
A credit card without a limit that's not linked to anyone's identity. That's my dream card.
USBAR as a 2% catch all card when mobile wallet isn't available (effectively 3% when redeeming for travel).
- 2% Cashback uncapped
- made of metal
- primary rental card coverage
- trip interruption insurance
- trip cancellation insurance
- no AF
- no FTF
Would be nice if the CSP had all of the perks of the Chase trifecta as one card and if it offered Hilton as a transfer partner in a 1 chase point= 1.5-2 Hilton points
You gotta dream bigger, 1 UR point is worth at least 4 Hilton points...
USBAR
Make the Amex Gold get at least 1.5x in all other categories and have the dining credit have a couple more options
A card that is really big so everyone knows I have more money than them. Usually I find all my money can't fit on a regular sized credit card.
I always wanted to own the Platinum American Express Card but I will never earn enough money to possess it.
if amex would add 3% dining to the cash magnet, that card and the bce would be the perfect duo and i’d probably never use any other cards
agreed really the cash magnet needs a 3% category of some kind to compete with the freedom Unlimited series.
Venture X (got it last year and all discounts fit my routine spending!); Chase freedom (no longer offered) has premium visa protection that no other non-fee car has for car rental and airline trip protection; 5% off every quarter with useful choices
I want an amex cobalt card. But it's a Canadian card.
An Amex card with an uncapped 2x category and no FTF.....one can dream
Citi Prestige and Savor from C1.
Any self sustaining marriott bonvoy card - except the points are 1:1 instead of 3:1 to partners. And receives points at 1:1 transferred from any other program. Lol
One that I can get as a resident of Japan without a US cell
5% medical purchases, taxes, car dealerships, insurance, and utilities.
5% cash back on restaurants and gas, 5% cash back on mobile wallet, 2% cash back on everything else. I know there is the Redstone Credit Union card which is close to this but I want it from one of the big players since I have cards with most of them already. Edit: No AF
The BILT card, but 3x groceries and 3x Transit, even 2x groceries and transit would make it my DTD card. The travel category doesn't include transit.
5% back all mobile wallet purchases. No cap.
Amex Black card lol saw someone with it Monday! First I’ve seen it in person
I want one that doesnt give me but I get s high credit score lol
Now a days people do have these type dreams to
The JP Morgan Reserve Card (Palladium Card). It’s basically a slightly better version of the Chase Sapphire Reserve Card, but you need $10 million dollars with JP Morgan/Chase private banking. The requirements seem a bit high for a somewhat generic card, but tbh it’s just a really solid card with an insane net worth requirement.
US BAR W/ 3x on dining w/ physical card 3x on gas w/ physical card 2x everywhere else Increase return protection up to $1k US BAR 🍸 is a power player for me
Anything that has no Annual Fee + 5% Cashback
Gold card with 4x travel. Or better yet, CSP with 4x travel + amex gold multipliers 😂
I’m pretty happy with my AmEx Gold as is. If they added 3x gas and 2x streaming. I’d become AmEx’s biggest fan.
Hopefully this is not the start of a trend and others are going to follow.
Capital one venture X, this Amex platinum costs way too damn much.
Without going too crazy
$995 annual fee
5x on Airlines through airline site 5x on hotels through hotel site 4x dining 4x grocery 4x gas/EV charging 3x on next highest spend category 2x everywhere else
Visa
Unlimited lounge access
Free AUs
Hertz, Avis, National highest status
Hilton, Marriot, IHG, Wyndham, United, and Delta status
All of Amex+Chase transfer partners
Chase levels of travel protections
120 day purchase protection
Up to 24 extra months of extended warranty
$1000 cell phone protection, 2 claims with $50 deductible
$1500+ in misc benefits both consumer and travel related (like a slightly better Amex Platinum)
Basically just want one card to do it all, and I'm willing to pay for that privilege
Amex Centurion lol
An all in one card with the abilities of the best cards...
1% on rent with no fee. 6% on restaurants on 5 randomized days announced the midnight of the day... to encourage people to carry it in their wallets. (bilt does it once a month) 4% when not those days. 10% on travel thru portal. 5% on groceries/gas/advertising/shipping 2% on everything else Chase reserve travel insurance Free checked bag up to 2 ticked people bought on card. Lounge access from chase/amex. Global entry credit Ubereats credit annual credit of 120. Grubhub credit annual credit of 120. Host of all other offers that most people.cant take advantage of but great when it works out. Annual fee $2000. Choose 4 of the following credits (only good for first 3 months) 400$ on anything that codes as travel 400$ on anything that codes as restaurants 400$ on anything that codes as advertising 400$ on anything that codes as gas 400$ on anything that codes as groceries 400$ on anything that codes as entertainment.
Im willing to change and negotiate some things lol. EDITED made a well formated list... not sure why it turns onto a paragraph
Chase Ink Premier with UR with x4 on food and groceries would be a one and done. No thoughts. Just spend. Would love that.
Not the dream card, but I use US Bank Altitude Reserve for everything when I can use mobile wallet (Apple Pay). I'm at 4.5% for every purchase with Apple Pay.
I use AMEX Platinum for flights.
In the US I use Altitude Reserve for car rental. For international rentals I use Amex Platinum and pay $19.99 each rental for more peace of mind.
I use Altitude Reserve for hotels.
I pay rent with Bilt.
That leaves minimal spendings elsewhere, and I'll use whatever convenient card at hand at the time.
- Never get's blocked by the bank under any circumstances. In there is a suspicion of fraud transaction, it makes a popup or text message in the application asking ME what do I want to do
- No foreign transaction fees with a good exchange rate
- Very quick customer support. Ideally in the messenger.
- Has no unwritten rules on the bank side. If I am approved for $2000 I can use all 100% at any time without any questions asked.
- I can top it up at any time. If checking is from the same bank - instantly.
- No need to come to the bank ever, only if I want to.
- Option in the app to generate a single use credit card number for signle purchase on the dodgier web-sites.
- Option to contrain the adjustment on the transaction to prevent unfair tip that I did not approve
- Build-in split bill functionailty with ability of other people to immediately reimburse if I payed for them, reducing the charge for me.
- Cool design, why not. Maybe even an ability to draw your own design.
- Bonus: OAuth into government services via the bank, because bank knows your identity. Actually exists in some countries.
This is a mix-match of features of debit cards from multiple European banks. But even there I haven't seen all of them torgether.
I don't even care what the rewards are, rewards are peanuts, spare change from the issuer. Mind boggling how all credit card comparison are about rewards, but not about user experience.
J.P. Reserve
the Chase Sapphire Preferred with its annual fee and Amex Gold’s grocery earnings 🦄
Chase Sapphire Prefered with 5X restaurants/bars and gas.
Amex Platinum with a 2x all other categories like what Venture X has.
CFU being flat 2%
If the Apple Card was modified to 5% cash back rotating merchants, 3% cash back when using Apple Card with Apple Pay, and 1.5% cash back when using the physical card, it would be a beast. I know it’s supposed to be simple with the 3%, 2%, 1% structure, but I feel like the physical card gets shafted because you only get 1% back.
I wish the Kroger card was a Visa so I can get 5% at Costco.
Amex Gold as it is but with 4X mobile category. Imagine 4X on all Apple Pay charges. 😐
I’m going to be realistic. Amex card- $300 annual fee- basically the same as the gold card is now, but add 3x on gas, and make the dinning credit work anywhere. So basically free $10 when you eat out for the first time.
A airline credit card that gets 5x on everything. Flights, gas, insurance, groceries including Walmart and target, home improvements, etc.
Few things come to mind:
- Apple Card - 1% bump across - 3% tap / 2% swipe - would make it a nice and well rounded card
- BofA - bump up the Preferred rewards by 25% across the tiers or at least for the Platinum Honors
- BofA CCR - unlock more 3% categories and increase quarterly spend depending on the Preferred Reward Tier. People already have 2-3 CCR cards, so this would save many of them headaches of applying for more than one card and working the systems :)
- Gold Tier - one 3% category
- Platinum Tier - two 3% categories and quarterly spend limit increased to $5000 (maintain $2500 limit per category if necessary)
- Platinum Honor - three 3% categories and quarterly spend limit increased to $7500 (maintain $2500 limit per category if necessary)
- BofA - Premium rewards - rework the Airline accidental statement credit to be more broad and perhaps include dining as well - sort of like US BAR travel/dinning credit works.
Allowing to convert CB earnings from CCR to PRE points would be a game changer with 20% redemption boost.
a no annual fee with 5% cash back on all transactions
One that I can use to pay my mortgage
Robinhood Gold Card! Still waiting on that Waiting List…. Joined day after announcement… c’mon!
Just the Amex Gold with 3X on Gas..
Honestly unless someone comes out with >3% on everything, and it's available to people in CO (I'm aware of the PCMCU card in Green Bay, WI), with no AF or crazy hoops, I'm pretty set with what I have right now.
I'm getting 5.55% on groceries regularly with my Custom Cash + Rewards+ pairing (although I'm getting 6% right now since AMEX offered me a waived AF on a BCE -> BCP upgrade), 5% on Amazon from multiple cards, 5% on my cell phone and internet bill via US Bank Cash+, 4% on dining with my Elan Everyday Rewards+ card (but my Freedom Flex makes it 7% this quarter), and 3% on everything else with my AODFCU card (post-nerf the $1500 monthly cap is still way more than I need).
USBAR with transfer partners
The Amex BCE is my favorite card. If we could get 3% back on dining purchases, it’d be the perfect no AF card.
Amex Black …. Obvs ?
10000% cash back card
Getting the Platinum/Diamond preferred boosts on my BofA credit cards…..
I dont think the boost is worth the 100k money invested on BOFA tho.. somewhere else will get you more interest for your 100k
That money doesn’t have to sit in a savings account. You can just have an investing account with Merrill and it will still count towards the 100k.
Oh wow! Now that's going to be different then. Thought it goes separately even though Merrill is their product. Good to know!
Amex Gold
The AMEX Platinum as a base card, but $395/year for those who work in nonprofits and small businesses, 2x for everything, with ability to convert MR rewards into cash back if one wanted to.
VX
100% cash back, but 365 free night certificates a year.
100 pct cash back, no fee would be great.
Chase card with dedicated groceries
