I was so confused at the beginning, and realized it is PH credit card.

Firstly that credit card uses amex network, not a member of Amex platinum what we say over here.

I think this post should go r/PHcreditcards

I highly suggest to apply business cards, most business cards won’t be reported to your credit report.

It might be good strategy if you planning to carry your debt for a while.

Chase Ink Cash / Unlimited, Amex BBP are good option.

Ink Cash 75k pts $6k spend. Ink Unlimited 75k pts $6k spend. Ink Preferred 100k pts $8k spend.

Total $20k spend, 250k pts = $2500 or higher (if decided to transfer, does not guarantee 1cpp+, so check before redeem. ) cash back rate 2500/20000 = 12.5%

I did not calculate points earned by spending. So it will be 12.5%+ cash back.

Technically Ink card bonuses does not have 48 month rule according to their terms. You might be able to get another bonus if you get approved.

Get all Ink Business Cards. Cash back rate will be 11%+ for first 20K.

Unless its really big purchase exceeding 50% of single card utilization, I wouldn’t pay before the statement closes.

I pay my tuition w/ Amex BBP. It’s business card though.

Get just flat 2% card. However, you have $3000 fixed general spending. then 3% back for robinhood gold card will have higher returns even though you pay effective annual fee of $60.

Getting grad school loan, I have mortgage now. Advice

I’m going to Dental School soon, I signed mortgage with my parents, and they’re paying for me now.

My parents’ purpose was “we pay for you now, but you pay later for yourself once I graduate”

I got this around one and half years ago, and loan principal is $400K. Monthly $2826, 20yr. (down payment was almost 40%) Household DTI around 20%.

I have one undergrad loan, $13K and it will be paid off as soon as I graduated.

My credit is pretty good. All bureaus 760+, 15+ accounts (auto loans, CCs, etc)

I’m expecting up to 400k for 4 years of school.

Does anyone have similar situation / experience?

Maybe or maybe not. I heard bofa will pull other bureaus if one is locked and not able to access that bureau. I heard they’re pulling multiple bureaus for new/low credit applications, but I don’t think they’ll pull two bureaus for you.

Lock EX, apply, “I think” if they try to access EX, but locked then they’ll try to access TU.

I don’t really know EV situation of Europe, I have no complaints from my current EV usage in CA, so I was wondering if it can save some gas money.

Looks like it isn’t that simple over there.

Discover is one of the leanest lenders for no credit history users. That’s why.

If you have SSN, then visa status no longer matter. Just put correct nationality when you apply, some banks ask your nationality. If you US dual citizen, then it doesn’t matter, you’re always US citizen in US regardless of your other country’s citizenship status.

What's your current bank? Do you have SSN / ITIN? What is your Visa status, F1, J1?

I went through same track. I came to states at 2019 w/ F1 and I have Green Card now.

If you using bank of america then go get their secured card.

If you using chase and have SSN / ITIN, then go get freedom rise.

If you have SSN / ITIN, you may apply to Discover.

I strongly recommend you to get ITIN or SSN if you don't have, it's possible even you have F1 or J1.

idk what is 230a exactly means, but yes I deleted schwab app because I kept my nvidia there. But sometimes I might go website to buy more shares, but not now (I'm out of handy cash for investments)

Bank of America.

I just got rejected and (dk why I have 5year banking with them and 2 ccs) they pulled TU. Check your state what they pulls. I'm in CA.

Lock your EX before you apply just in case, there is a few report that they're pulling EX.

I heard you need 90 days to not get second pull from Amex, idk it's accurate info, but I've heard from somewher in reddit.

What do you think renting a EV at Munich to go Neuschwanstein Castle and town nearby?Driving

I'm planning to come from Paris to Munchen Hbf via train. Day trip to Neuschwanstein Castle, and Linderhof Palace is planned. Staying at Hilton Munich City.

I know there is public transportation to Neuschwanstein, but my friend recently visited there recommended to just rent a car.

I saw Polestar 2 have pretty good price for my rental term, so I was wondering renting a EV for a day is good idea in germany. If not I probably gonna rent BMW 3 series or Audi A3.

As typical California bad drivers, I know I'm gonna drive fast on freeway, so I might need to charge battery while I drive. But unlike tesla supercharger in CA, if there's not many EV charging station or any reason to avoid EV on out-of-city driving, I'm trying to avoid.

I might cross border to Austria if I think there's something to do, but mostly not.

I drive honda primarily but I have tesla too. I have experience of driving EVs.

I started to use it because my friends uses. It was my first and current brokerage account.

I’m considering to move to robinhood because of 24hr equity trading system. ToS has really limited 24hr trading system.

Sold all my equity and bought NVDA 120.251 (before split)

I deleted my schwab app.

Im not checking it at least for next year.

Glacier, Denali, Yosemite

I’m a strong winter enthusiast, I visited Denali and Yosemite during Winter, it was Amazing. Northern lights under Denali mountains were unforgettable.

Usually between 5~5.5K mark. It’s usually 135-145 engine running hours for me, and my rule is either 150 hrs or 5k, whichever comes first.

I would pay little more and have peace in mind.

Go to Staples! They sell it, and in my state they don’t trigger the tax (I assume most states don’t charge taxes for this), always just flat $25 every time. No problems at all, always get triggered.

I tried online and in-store, both triggered.

SNA/ONT all the way. Sometimes I use ONT and layover at SFO.

Bank of America Returned Payment FeeHelp Needed / Question

I had stupid mistake, I accidentally chose wrong external account to pay card and payment returned.

It has not been reported to BofA yet. But my checking account (other bank than BofA) emailed me the ACH declined due to NSF.

Does anyone know when they post the NSF return payment fees? I have 5 days until payment deadline, and I made another equivalent amount of payment. I just don't want interest accrued, and get rid off the situation asap.

Its $59. I know you guys saying do you even don't keep 59 dollars in your account, but yes usually I just keep only 20 in checking and rest is Amex Venmo & Savings.

Well, lesson learned.

I see, if it doesn’t post in my next bill estimate, I’ll contact them and figure out. Thanks.
