But I had success earlier this year of downgrading to BCE and getting an upgrade offer of $75 back if I spend $1k in 90 days.. that was good enough for me. Other people have gotten the $150 back offer, but I've seen more DPs of $75 offer. I'm happy.

where are you traveling? When I went to Amsterdam/Belgium everywhere accepted tap to pay. I used the USBAR to get 3x for mobile pay. Then when I go to use points for travel (using real time rewards) I get 1.5x, meaning mobile pay is 4.5% back.. There is a $400 AF, but you also get $325 in credits.
Hey that's really good for you, and I genuinely mean that. It sounds like you have a good head and you have guardrails set up for yourself. I took exception to the fact that he said because you responded on vacation your product is worth it. Your product is worth it regardless if you respond on vacation. That comment just gave me the ick. One shouldn't feel guilty for going on vacation and logging off. And one shouldn't get extra rewards for working on vacation.
