![Favorite green commander?](https://i.redd.it/elskk24lvq9d1.png)
I'll go first Ghalta, Primal Hunger as long as you have big creatures on board no commander tax.

Love him for a Voltron deck. Not many people run green creature removal so he essentially has hexproof
Exactly. And There is also [[Thrun, the Last Troll]]

I am working on [[Thrun, the Last Troll]] but the lack of interaction I have on my deck is kinda bums me out.

Are you building voltron? What are you missing?
yes. A VolTHRUN. :P
Maybe it was a bad matchup but when the opponent's deck pumped out an Etali and I was not able to answer it nor do anything about it casting our spells back at us, I kinda felt that not being able to interact with the board and threats would be a problem for the Thrun deck I am building.
Hmm. I have played my fair share of games with my Voltron Breaker of Silence (Btw NICE -> VolTHRUN. I love it). There really is not that much in mono green that you can do. Sometimes you win, sometimes you loose. But i have some games where you hit your opponents with a 50/50 trample bomb, out of nowhere.
https://manabox.app/decks/vhueT9-dR-OsmHvtPY7IQg
That is my deck. Maybe there is something in there that might help you.
Thanks!
I was about to create a new thread asking how does Mono-Green Thrun Voltron interacts with the board and it seems a Mono-Green does do much on interaction, so that makes me confident I wasn't too off in my deck build. And yes, the sudden 50/50 Thrun is such a sweet way to win and it comes out of nowhere! :D
I see [[beast within]] quite often. It goes in every green deck I have anyway.

I run Thrun along with Toski in Atraxa, with green removal just in case someone else gets wise. 😂
[[Greensleeves, Maro-Sorcerer]]
The one day someone runs something like this is the one day I play my Grixis Superfriends deck 😭😭😭
It's honestly my favorite deck lol. Built it from scratch and it's progressed from "fun little screw around deck" to "once this gets going, you better kill me"
I bet! I’m sure you run every ramp spell and additional land spell in the book plus some crazy landfall?

I just built that. I hope it can do something my meta is so busted.

Nice
[[Vorinclex, Montsrous Raider]] So fun but my friends hate him. He’s a smite on site
Favorite by far. Get some creatures. Blow them up. Crack a couple Planeswalker ultimates. Game over.

I built it for a dollar and under tournament and I got second place with it, my highest ever tournament placement
[[Aeve, Progenitor Ooze]] mono green storm/combo that can also just fill the board with value. Goes infinite with [[Food Chain]] by itself, just needs a haste enabler to finish.
I'm not understanding...how does it go infinite with Food Chain?
You need 1 extra mana if you're starting a turn with food chain on the board and not casting any other spells before you cast Aeve the first time. After the second cast, you have positive mana. The copies of Aeve have the same mana cost as the card, so each one sacs to give you 6 mana. So first cast gives 6 mana, second cast costs 7 so you're down 1 mana at that point. But you get 2 Aeve. You sac them for 12 mana and recast for 9. So you're up 3 mana. Sac for 18 and recast for 11 and you're up 7 more to have 10 floating. Each cast produces an extra Aeve because storm but commander tax only increases by 2 each time. You end up going positive on each iteration because the commander's cost goes up by 2 but the mana from food chain goes up by 6. So you just end up with a board full of Aeves with each one bigger than the last.
https://mtg.cardsrealm.com/en-us/combo-infinite/food-chain-aeve-progenitor-ooze
External reference for additional evidence. Aeve does need to be the commander for this to work.

Wait... if I have something that turns all my forests into creatures, does this mean infinite sacrificing? Even something as simple and old school as Nature's Revolt? Creature dies, comes back as a forest, turns into a 2/2 face down forest creature, but it is still not a token. So I can sacrifice it and it just comes back over and over?
Yep, that's how that would work! With Nature's Revolt and a sac outlet, you can definitely make a combo engine.
Combine that with something like Syr Konrad and that’s infinite damage

Wise mothman or Genesis Engine is up there for sure. But I'm a little confused how this eliminates commander tax true 12 12 is nice even from the start you have to get an 8/8 out on the field to really be worth it and that's before the tax and he doesn't do much otherwise

i have just recently started brewing one myself and would appreciate some more ideas! i am aiming to make it under $50 (<$25 is the ultimate goal) that can be super aggressive and fun!
my thoughts right now were only deathtouch, but putting in some cheap infect creatures seem like a great way to just be more aggro coupled with some enchantments/equipment that give my creatures trample and card draw if they connect for combat damage :)
please let me know any suggestions! thank you in advance and even if you got nothing to share, i wish you the best!
It's going to need some form of sticking power and removal via creature but you can always trade blow for blow. Evasion is nice as well.
https://www.moxfield.com/decks/gJyn06r4vkeo4rDyd0m02w but here's the moxfield link I might revisit it to do some updates
when you say “sticking power” what do you mean?
If you get board wiped, targeted enough, and your commander is also a warning flag to Kill on sight, especially in a multi-player game, you kind of want things to stick on the board. My play group loves to board wipe or KoS commanders that are deemed unworthy to grace the board.
ah i understand now haha yeah my friends are already saying they will target me, but are excited to see what i come up with 😂
thank you for your help as well! certain cards in your deck like nissa (if i can make it into the budget), planewide celebration, obscuring haze, and others are some that i have not seen, but will definitely be adding!
Mono G : [[ Kaysa]] - literally my first deck back in 2008.
GW : [[Asmira, Holy Avenger]] - Nobody expects that. Also, Rebecca Guay.
GR : [[ Chishiro]] - Anime themed deck. It can power-up (+1/+1) to bring his super serpent AURA to the peak when he swings his swords in the most epic battle.
GU : _______ who loves Blue? Anyway, [[ Kenessos]] is my least hated blue card because his skill of a " He's comming" to the EPIC AND BIBLICAL [[SEGOVIAN LEVIATHAN]] is amazing.
GB : [[ Skull. Briar]]. Brian can do everything and still be a 25/25 on cast.

GWR: [[ Paladia-Mors, The Ruiner]]. Simple : BIG. DRAGON. MOMMY.
GWB: [[Anafenza]] - Becaus Abzan is family and driving.
GRB: it was [[The Beatdown Bullies]] until [[Disa The restless]] came and took that place with a bunch of Demogorgons from Stranger things.
GRU: [[Gimbaal]] the one that i felt a deep connection within because his flatext uses my favorite dad joke.
