The better tour companies only allow you to feed the pigs from the boat. We loved Aquaquest, very safety-focused. The ran a rope from the boat to the grotto that lots of people that weren’t even on our tour greatly appreciated. I would feel comfortable taking kids. You will have a blast!

I think you need to consider how much money you will spend on children-child care, health insurance, etc. We make that combined income now but and our mortgage, including insurance, is only $2K/month.

It would be helpful to list your monthly/annual expenses and your take-home pay, plus any new expenses you anticipate in the future (new car, etc). There will also be one-time costs for a new home to consider (appliances, etc). Depending on where you work, some companies offer free financial advising services.
I would probably invest a fair amount in tickets if we had a team. It’s always a good time when I go in Memphis.
