How old is your printer? Might have something to with your extruder. I had to replace mine already because something similar to this was happening. It’s a fairly easy and cheap part to replace.

Might sound weird but I bet you have a clogged nozzle. Heat it up to 245c, run the cleaning run up and down into the extruder a few times, you will feel the filament that’s in there. Push as much out as you can then reload your filament as directed when changing filament.

Most people find creality slicer works better than cura for some reason. I’m suggesting that creality slicer may solve your stringing issues.

I use creality with excellent results.

Not recommended by others because it has the potential of messing up the extruder but I put my retraction rate at 3 with a speed of 45 and get no stringing. Again, not recommended by many but it works for me.

I use a blowtorch and heat it until it’s cherry red then let it cool. All of the plastic and crap is usually completely gone.

I’m still apprehensive about updating the firmware because of problems others have had.

PEI build plate that’s clean, use a brim to ensure the print and supports are secure, slow the print speed down for intricate prints.

Check for a clog then. Take the nozzle off, clean or replace it and see if that does the trick.

How much have you used your printer? I ask because I just had to replace the extruder on mine after about 8 months of almost 24/7 use. It started clicking and making weird sounds every once in a while then filament wasn’t being pushed out even though the gear was turning. Check to make sure it was a clogged nozzle or bad nozzle as well. Replaced extruder and all is well again. It’s a fairly easy and cheap fix.

Looks very simple to do. Try using tinkercad. As long as you have the measurements of the original you should be able to do it.

Because the economy is in shit and people can’t afford to pay their debts so more debts are owed. It’s not that the collectors are increasing in numbers, it’s that people who struggling to pay for food and housing is increasing. Sure there are shitty people who just don’t care but the number of good, hard working people who are struggling is up as well.

Comgrow is what I use for my Ender 3 and creality for my SE. Cheap and work great!

PEI. It’s almost fail proof.

So after numerous test cubes, I’ve come to the conclusion that the eccentric nut must have been too tight. This has been extremely frustrating and I’m still not 💯 sure this is or was the problem but I’m back at 400mm for Z axis steps and now it’s printing as it should. Only other variable I did was adjust the eccentric nut on the Z axis.

Tru using creality slicer. I find it works better with the SE.

It’s the steps. I checked for binding and even made sure the eccentric nut wasn’t too tight. Once I adjusted the steps from 400 to 408ish (still tuning it) it fixed the problem.
