I saw someone recently sent pictures with notes with oda's handwriting, he wrote next to the explanation of gear 5, "but it comes with a risk, it might take over the body". i didnt save the notes and I dont remember where I saw them, summary: gear 5 is controlling luffy and luffy still hasnt mastered it yet according to the notes. so maybe we will see luffy act normal again even in that form
