Watch Verification Thread - If you're uncertain if a Rolex is good/bad/fake, post info and pics here

Post to this thread if you have questions about a Rolex being real or fake. Please include:

-The location and/or screen name of the seller, if for sale. Link directly to the sale page when possible.
-How long you've had it and how you acquired it, if in your possession
-As many photos as possible. Posts may be removed if pictures are too fuzzy and requests for better pics are unanswered. -If you're being coy about a watch and it seems like you're just trying to see how "good" your fake is, you may be banned at our discretion.

Please don't use photos from iPhone 14's. Their camera is so bad, and distorts text with AI so much, that the photos are basically unusable for the purposes of verifying if a Rolex is real.

Participation in the discussion in this thread is greatly appreciated. I don't think any one person can catch every flaw or know the details of every model; this is meant as a community thread, not an authoritative knowledge-flex, and the more people that actively peruse this thread, the more likely posters are to get accurate info.

Previous verification thread here.

AD Wait Time Megathread - If you bought a new Rolex from an AD in 2024, you can share details here. What watch, where, how long did you wait, how much buying history?

Our previous AD wait time megathreads (2019-2020, 2020-early 2021, 2021, 2022, 2023) seemed to be useful/well-received for a lot of you. Time for a new one!

Nowadays when someone posts a new watch it's pretty standard to get asked how long they waited and if they had an "established relationship" etc. It's not everyone's favorite topic but it's a fair question, so maybe these big threads can provide a clearer picture of availability trends.

No one is obligated to share their info but if you bought a new Rolex in 2024 and you'd like to participate, please make a top-level comment that includes:

  1. What watch did you buy?
  2. When?
  3. How long did you wait?
  4. Where are you? (Be as specific or nonspecific as you want, from continent to a specific AD)
  5. Any purchase history with that AD? (Again be as specific or nonspecific as you feel comfortable)

Got the call… sorta

AD texted me asking me if I was still interested in the DJ Blue 41mm. (4 months on the list, 2 previous omega purchases)

I replied i’m still interested but reminded her I landed on the 36mm not 41.

She said: “ok, super”.

5 hours later I get another text: “I got the watch”! Can you come for it tomorrow?”

Came the following day, sat down in the private room, got some coffee served, she opens the box…. 41mm of course.

She’s embarrassed, apologetic and runs to the back. After like 15 minutes, comes back with a 36mm black dial instead. Said she is so sorry and blames it on the manager not seeing her notes but asks if I would like to take this one today.

Politely told her I want blue dial or even better a green dial. (She’s told me in the past green dials are much longer wait). She said she understood and will get an expedited delivery with her manager.

Sooo back to my Omega for now. Not upset or anything. Honest mistake. Hopefully it’s not another 4 months.

"I don't know why ADs waste money on stores with no watches to sell" --- See if you can wrap your mind around this:

An Omega store location receives regular watch shipments. They place the watches in their stockroom, as display models are already in the case. Over the course of days, weeks, or months, the store will eventually sell all of the Omega watches that arrive in the shipments.

A Rolex store location receives regular shipments. They refer to their wait list, call customers, and within hours or a few days the watches have been picked up.

Omega stores sell all of the watches they receive. Eventually.

Rolex stores sell all of the watches they receive. Fast.

Both companies make a profit margin on these sales and use some of the margin to pay the expense of running the store. The store provides each company a way to connect with clientele and move the watches. Because Rolex watches sell fast, the money invested into the store is a very safe bet.

If anything, the average Rolex store is likely making a greater income, better margin, and is more able to justify their expense of operating the location, versus comparable brands.

"All watches are for display purposes only"

I wasn't really surprised but it dawned on me how bizarre this whole thing is.

I'm flying out of Rome FCO airport and I noticed a Rolex store. Its own store. Taking up lots of space, beautiful decor. Not with the other open pan stores, no, of course not, it's Rolex they have their own.

Anyway, it's adorned with watches. There's 1 lady there. Apparently her entire job, all day, is to tell people "all the watches in here are for display purposes only"

At first I thought maybe I was turned away because I look like shit, but I've been wanting to buy a watch for over a year in Canada so thought I'd try my luck

Then from a distance I watched her do it to at least 10 other people

Wtf is the point lmao, it's so weird. A shop that doesn't sell anything and a worker who's sole job is to tell people they've got nothing for sale all day
