I've seen them pop up a couple times on reddit watchexchange. In 6 months it will likely be pretty available

This is the older 36mm from the mid 2000s. It was the last explorer to come with the hollow midlink and and stamped clasp bracelet, so I’ve swapped the clasp to the newer one

Just the clasp, which is from the 39mm Explorer 214270. The bracelet from the 214270 doesn’t fit unfortunately. Even though they’re both 20mm lug widths, the holes for the spring bars don’t quite line up.

Haha I feel the exact same way! For me though, the 124270 wore too small for my tastes so I was willing to give up those beautiful lumed numerals

Does anyone know the days/hours for this stand?

I’ll check that out. Timekeeping is still dead accurate on so I don’t think it’s magnetized but I’ll take a look

I just got my 114270 Explorer 1 back from a full movement service a few weeks ago and when I got it back, the crown winding was a buttery smooth as could be, and was virtually completely silent other than the subtle clicking. A few weeks later, I picked up the watch to wind it and heard an audible "zzzzz" ing noise that I didn't hear before (i did my best to capture in the video). Not sure if what I'm hearing is normal or if something happened in the past few weeks. The watch was in my watchbox while I was on a trip so it hasn't been worn much at all. Is it worth getting it re-looked at?

How’s the on the fly comfort adjust feature on the bracelet?

I wouldn’t describe my speedy as fragile…elegant sure, but not fragile. Anyways yes I believe you have a defective clasp

I’d take it back. I have the same watch and there’s absolutely no play in the clasp.

Sometimes the “m” is just dropped. It’s the same ref number

In the future, do your research if you’re buying grey market watches. That being said, DavidSW is as legit as they come. They wouldn’t be fooled by a fake. Also, the best fakes are really just Rolex models. Every other brand is pretty easy to immediately tell by an expert.

The watch has also just had a full movement overhaul, and now runs at +0.5 to +1 sec per day and has the smoothest crown winding action you could ask for (paperwork included).

Amazing! How many times have you had it serviced? And is that the original bracelet or have you replaced parts or the bracelet since getting it?
