Blue milgauss Got it 10/25/2021 Waited 6 months Miami, had bought a no date sub feb 2020, the guy I bought I from retired. Spoke to a new guy like 2 or 3 times that year then bought a blue bb58 feb 2021. Got on the list for the mil about a month later.

Where is the 2022 Megathread?

I've been searching around Toronto Canada to get my hands on a watch for a year now. No luck. ADs take my info but I Havent heard from a single one yet. Does anyone have any experience with any AD who will put me on a wait list with a deposit or has any watches in stock atm? Willing to travel. Thanks for your help!

5. I've bought a Tudor BB GMT, Tudor BB Bronze, and a nice set of diamond earrings. Also brought a friend in who bought a Pelagos. All since 11/15/21.

I'm hoping to get a call in the next few months, but I'm not holding my breath. For every success story in this thread there are dozens of others that have not had any luck. I bought a BB58 from an AD in November, and have been staying in regular communication with them since. I expressed interest in a few sport models. Hoping to make my first ever Rolex purchase this year.

Almost every single experience on this thread is a highly sort after sports model with Zero purchase history… it’s a struggle to even get your name down for a basic Datejust in the UK!

And then last week, that’s when they gave me the call for it.

My approach with this whole “shortage” and AD relationship nonsense is reaching out to multiple dealers. My friends that have Rolexes have contacted their AD For me. My jeweler where I’ve bought my girls stuff from. Just multiple people. I don’t think we return back to the days of having a long standing relationship of the old times. I could be completely wrong, but heck, something is working.

How long did you wait? I've wanted a Pepsi since 2018 and was "on a list" since then with my old (useless) AD on the east coast. We moved this past summer and I had to start over with a new AD.

Where are you? Mountain West.

I was looking for a pair of watches to celebrate being pregnant with our first child, due early next year. Ended up going to two large ADs in our area and asked if I could buy both watches. One AD pretty much brushed me off, while the second clicked with me for some reason and got me the watch for my wife (a Cartier) this past summer and the Pepsi for me earlier this month. I'll be going back in the future for other purchases.

Began trying to build a relationship with AD in May with purchase of Seamaster. Asked to be placed on waitlist for any Rolex professional model. Fast-forward to now, decided to buy wife the new Cartier Tank. As I'm leaving the store, I mentioned off-hand how much I wanted to buy his and hers watches to commemorate our recent wedding with Cartier for her and Rolex for me. AD apologized for not fulfilling that, said, "Hold on a minute", came back 20 minutes later with a TT SD 43 on the tray. Would not have been my first choice, but it's actually gorgeous in person. Pulled the trigger right there.

Need advice. I wanted the jubilee bracelet but was told that oyster is the only one coming in and was told the wait time. Said they would work with me if I really wanted the jubilee bracelet.

Really only went in to put my name on for a GMT and ended up with a datejust. After reading all of these posts below and their short wait lists with people getting a GMT with just a walk in I'm so disappointed and depressed and I just bought a datejust I should be happy?!
