Yankees are hitting pitchers in addition to batters now

Did Ben just say “George” instead of Jorge lol

Or a late inning PH for Urias or O’Hearn against a lefty reliever

Irvin’s last 2-3 starts haven’t inspired much confidence. Hopefully he gets back in his earlier season track today

Fedde more likely. Will be cheaper and less of an injury history

If Kyerstad is traded, it’s bc other teams value him higher than Stowers and would take nothing less - I don’t think it’ll be the preferred choice of our FO, it’s what the trade market demanded .

Also Kyerstad’s minor league splits are fairly comparable (L vs R pitcher)

I think if at least one of the bottom third of our lineup was OPSing over 750, McCann’s anemic bat would feel less debilitating

Cowser and Mullins are basically interchangeable at this point. Plus defenders in CF but offensive liabilities.

Prob an unpopular opinion here but I think I’d rather trade Cowser than Kjerstad.

Same. The only thing that made sense was wanting to showcase him for a trade.

At this point, I wouldn’t mind trotting Kyerstad out in LF again tomorrow and moving Hays to CF against their lefty starter tomorrow. Westburg back to 3rd and Mateo at 2nd. Adley at C and let O’Hearn DH even against a lefty.

McCann cannot be in the lineup and Mullins/Cowser are offensive liabilities

Oh looks like you’re right. Same thing for Barlow though

Wish we had a good LH pinch hitter for Mullins in the 9th against Clase

Jamie Moyer had a looong year career doing just that.  If Cade can improve his control, he can potentially have the same

Who’d a guessed Bibee would have a higher pitch count than Cade after that first inning

Means Heston will be protected by Westburg and will see more hittable pitches

Interestingly, Westburg has reverse splits too. I think as long as Urias is hitting, this will be the configuration against righties. Against lefties, Westburg goes back to 3rd and Mateo plays 2nd
