Small craftbeer spots in Copenhagen.

Hi everyone, in the past few days I made a research of all past reddit threads about craftbeer tips in this beautiful city. Along with other beerguides I have saved a lot of pubs I wanna visit.

I wonder if you could recommend me other smaller pubs that are not in the centre (or could be) and arent usually on the list? What I am looking for is:

variety of unique beers (do not need 40 beers on tap)
calm atmosphere, not overcrowded, local people, not tourists

I think the amount of tourists drops to almost zero once you get out of Indre By.

But I get what you mean, some places like BRUS can get insanely loud and busy in the evenings. As for smaller, calmer places:

Himmeriget. They only have like 8 on tap but an insane amount bottled and what they have is pretty good. Probably my number #1 recommendation in this context
Ølsnedkeren. Its fairly calm, I've never seen it packed like a lot of other bars
Peders is nice and cozy but can also get quite packed
Søernes Ølbar. It looks quite cozy, but I don't know how busy it gets at peak times

Generally craft beer bars in Vesterbro (Warpigs, Mikkeller, ÅBEN, Fermentoren) seem to get quite busy, so avoid those for a calm atmosphere.

I would like to add a small special beer/craft beer shop to the list named “Høkeren” on Nørrebro. The owner is a super chill lady with laid back company (many there are regular costumers since most go to Nørrebrobryghus right next to it/doesnt know it exists) - but there is a large variety of different beers in there, although, not directly from the tab, unless you want Hancock : )

Gyda is the owner and she is open to talk about beer, liquor, cider (actual ciders not ‘sommersby’) etc. of any kind if interested as well. 😁👍

No!!! I’ll be there next week (From San Francisco) and was hoping to pay them a visit. I would go there almost nightly during my month long stay in cph a few years ago and was a great time.

+1 for Tap21 Frederiksberg. Small and cozy. 12-15 beers on tap and a fridge of canned and bottled beers.

Ørsted Ølbar in Nørre Farimagsgade (streetname) should fit your bill, other than being fairly central. Not touristy, though, and nice atmosphere.

Don't forget, you can check out some of the popular spots before they get extremely crowded (weekday, early afternoon before it's evening) and they can still be really nice spots.

Nordvest Ølbar in Nordvest should fit your criterias :-)

Also Fermentoren and Væskebalancen, although Fermentoren can get crowded. Godt Øl has been nice and quiet the few times I’ve been there

Ølbaren, Elmegade for being one of the first craft beer bars in Cph, all the way back from 2001-ish. Small, dunno about crowds.

Kompasset Ølbar, Østerbrogade. Small cozy, quite local.

Kompasset Ølbar (Østerbrogade/Jagtvej) fits your description - and they will let you taste whatever is on tap. It's crowded in weekends and during quiz nights though. Check the FB page in advance

My go to places are:

Dispensary on Nørrebrogade. Huge selection of whiskys too and great music imo on the stereo (rock/alt).
Øl on Elmegade. No bullshit and straight forward cozy bar without any gimmicks.
