link not working for me Best WordPress courses on Udemy
I have saved your comment. Thank you.
Thanks for this!
This post should be stickied in this thread.
Exactly... it's worth it!
God idea!
Hey guys!
After going from studying philosophy -> becoming a high school teacher -> going into the charity sector -> becoming a wordpress developer -> creating a wordpress agency -> becoming a wordpress teacher - I'm now finally at a point where I'd love to give back, start a community, and help more.
So if anyone is looking for ANY Wordpress help, hit me up. It can be simple set up stuff, about themes, about page builders, or even code. I love the community, love the job, and love seeing success.
To give some immediate value, with this reply, though - for those looking to learn wordpress, I would say you should also try a course like on teamtreehouse. Do the frontend web development course, the beginner php course, and the intermediate php course. These, geared with any wordpress page builder, theme, or custom code, are super powerful.
Hi!!! I came this far and found this! Thank you very much. I need help. I paid for a WordPress domain willing to create my website over there, but then I found that if I wanted to sell something or upload templates, I needed the creator plan. If I got the starter plan, can I create decent pages with music, video, application forms, and parallax effects?
Thank you so much for this!
Thanks for sharing here. The Make WordPress Training team has quite a lot planned for the Learn site. Here are some ideas for the next 3 years: https://make.wordpress.org/training/2020/12/03/learn-wordpress-blue-sky-thinking/
We'd love to know the experience others have of using the content here AND welcome others to create content in the form of lesson plans, videos, or hosting workshop discussions.

I think this is awesome--regarding the overall experience of learning WordPress on WordPress.org, which currently mostly happens on the WordPress.org forums, I think the biggest area of improvement I see is how frequently the forum mods and admins are unnecessarily unfriendly to newbies. I can easily say that it has the most unhelpful (they seem either very burnt-out or very bureaucratic, or perhaps it's a combination?) moderator and admin team that I've seen, and that's over years of participating in many online forums of all types.
Wow! I really enjoy using WordPress and I'm so happy with their plugins and other stuffs. Finally, now it's even easy to convert your website into an app without coding. One of my most used tool is appmysite and I really recommend it.
I applied to be a "mentor" couple of months ago but with how COVID is going I completely forgot I used to have an actual passion for WordPress.
If you’re still interested in mentoring someone please help me lol. I’m a design student and am working on my companies website bc I’m the techiest person they know and I feel like I’m hitting a brick wall.
I learned WP all by myself and I made some tragic websites in the process, embrace it. If you have a specific question, you can DM me here, or even better, visit https://discord.gg/pB8cpKZZUj, it is a WordPress dedicated discord I hang around, and I am fond of the members. Disclaimer, I am not the owner or otherwise affiliated with the server itself, I think it is just a good environment for WordPress folks.
//EDIT: Link updated, https://discord.gg/pB8cpKZZUj
Thank you for responding! I did join that discord recently but I’ve been too timid to post anything after seeing a couple people getting torn a new one for some noob questions. I’ve learned a great deal on my own but I feel like I’m getting stuck. I might shoot you a message later… have you worked with the astra theme at all? Thanks again and take care!
I do not work with astra at all, but you should not be intimidated by that discord, I think the folks are reasonably great!
Appreciate you! I’ll give it a shot.
Update link please
Done!
I want to start learn wordpress.
me too!
Would you look at that, all of the words in your comment are in reverse alphabetical order.
I have checked 238848 comments, and only 150 of them were in reverse alphabetical order.
I found the best method to start learning was simply launching my own website and learning
from trial and error. WordPress isn’t really all that difficult. I will recommend using Hustly
website. They have a very easy tutorial to help you launch your WordPress website in one click
using their app.
I'm a Wordpress developer and I'm teaching Wordpress on my youtube channel.
Go on youtube and look for freecodecamp
Does anyone know why my posts aren't showing on this sub? I read the rules I don't think I've done anything wrong. I haven't received a message telling me my post was rejected for x reason.
It gets caught in the general spam filter from reddit. Reddit seems to do this with any post that has "wordpress.com" in it. A bit annoying...
Got it, thanks.
Autoship Cloud for an all-in-one WooCommerce subscriptions plugin that enables Amazon-like subscribe and save functionalities on your physical goods store.
GeneratePress is a great theme, I am using it & v happy with it. I have also tried Kadence/Astra, solid options
Nice info!
I love WP and I've been using it for ten years+, but only now I am willing to learn the "deep wp" (plugin/themes development!).
Learn WordPress is the top trendy skill of the era. If someone find the best and free WooCommerce subscription plugin in 2022, then explore Autoship Cloud plugin. Its a free plugin with alot of features like subscriptions, subscriber experience, support for free trials, payment logistics, shipping integrations, discount coupons/promotions, data reporting etc.
thanks for sharing this masterpiece

Awesome resource. And it's going to get better.
Good! Last week I was studying some things about WP. That contribution's useful for sure.
Thx!
Thank you for the nice share. It helps lots of newbies.
You can also suggest your ideas for the workshop here:
why not do it for free at https://wpdeveloper.net/?via=2513
I learned WordPress in 2010 when there was a lot less information online.
It took me months and months of tinkering, but it has been one of the most rewarding things I've ever done. I wish there were resources like this when I was starting out!
I didn't know this existed. it is pretty cool.
Just was looking for some advices on how to learn more about WordPress, thanks
It will be helpful for me.
nice
Worth it
It will actually help the people who want to learn WordPress.
This is awesome!
Good post! Thanks
Hello! I wanna create a tuition website from my mom where she can put her short YouTube videos , reviews of past year students and their marks. I also want to find the number of people using the website . How can I do that using WordPress for free?
Exactly it's worth it
That is a great way to learn it, its good that they offer this for free
This is very useful, and very timely thank you. Synchronicity almost. My story below.
I’ve been a member of this sub for a while. I’m a graphic designer who has designed a number of client sites using Themes and a builder such as WP Bakery and Elementor.
I’ve realised there’s a lot more going on “under the hood” of Wordpress, and am keen to expand my knowledge. In fact, the whole point of coming to the sub today was to ask for pointers in how to do that. No need now, thanks for posting!
Hello everyone, I don't know if this is the right thread to ask the question, but I wanted to know if I can create/work on multiple site/theme within wordpress, or I need to buy domain for every single theme?
nice
Is word press expensive to manage?
no -try it out
I have a question I can't find an answer to. I am trying to import a GIF into my blog, and it says to copy and imbed the code, but that never works. Is there something I am missing?
How are you embedding the gif? Btw, you can simply upload your gif to the media library and then use it. There's no need to embed it.
I was using the embed option on WordPress, then I copied and pasted the gif code from one of the gif websites. I realized that I could upload it through the image option too. I appreciate your help.
hello, first time on this subreddit. i've been learning about html and css for the last couple of years and i'm interested in learning wordpress. what is the first thing i should learn about wordpress?
Brad’s course on Udemy is excellent. He even posted 3 or 4 hours from that course on his YouTube channel.
I can't tell you for sure but looking at your post history and the random places you've posted the same stuff I would say it is considered as spam
you even post the "why am i not able..." message 5+ times in all kind of different threads. This thread is 3 years old. You've posted the UX designer post in WP 3 times, and 2 times in Elementor.
Again: can't help you with the issue, maybe contact Reddit if those are legit posts.
Learning WordPress is easy as long as you are willing to commit a few hours each day for a week. You would need some very basic search skills (i.e know how to use search engines like Google), and the ability to follow instructions. No, you don't need to know HTML or other programming languages to code a website.
well there are so many websites available where you can learn Wordpress, I'll suggest you go with WPbeginners and Coderepublics WordPress tutorial. if you want to learn through Video tutorial then here are the Best WordPress courses on Udemy 2021. These are the best tutorials.
Hope My information will help you. Thanks.
