Is egmat worth it? Can I do self-study with the available resources instead?
Wondering if I should take up egmat 2 months subscription to brush up on my basics and get to be comfortable with the questions. I scored 610 on an official mock a few months back. Although not sure where I would be now. So my question to past/present users would be how beneficial is the course? Will self/study be an alternative to any course, provided I have a solid plan and dedicate my time accordingly?

It honestly depends. Certificates are honestly the bows and frills to your resume. If your career experience can stand in its own, it’s better.
I think it’s helpful to get a professional opinion ONLY AND ONLY if you yourself don’t feel comfortable or skilled enough for the job. The basic idea of a resume writer/linkedin profile builder depends majorly on the person’s own skill sets, job profile and industry. Apart from writing expertise, the resume writer can help you create a brand.
But then again, in today’s age of media and internet professional influencers, a bit of searching and I am pretty sure you will get the resources to get the job done yourself. I work as a freelancer in marketing, and the above has been my suggestion to my clients. Do it yourself once, compare it with others in your field, and then if you still need the bump, get an expert to look over.
