Who is managing your care / ordered these tests? Was the cortisol test done in the morning?

I’d definitely ask for a referral to an endocrinologist since most PCPs don’t have experience with cortisol issues. I’m guessing hyper parathyroidism isn’t in their wheelhouse either.

I’d also ask for a referral to a urologist because of the white and red blood cells in your urine.

I’m not a doctor though. Maybe post on the Ask Doctors sub too. It’s pretty active and some posts get helpful advice.

Other things to check for are: iron deficiency (ferritin close to 100; it’s below 30 its stage one iron deficiency and many people have symptoms,) low B12 and folate, low vitamin D.

I didn’t pay for last week’s background check. I paid for a background check when I first joined in 2014 and I paid for a second one a few years later when they offered a more detailed check because it sounded like it would have helped me with the algorithm.

I know why the ranking works the way it does. I think it's shitty that it doesn't factor distance more in the algorithm. It sucks as a sitter to get requests for drop-ins or walks that are far away because turning down requests also fucks us with the algorithm or your profit margin because our ability to book other work, etc. is limited because of extensive commute time.

I really wish that they had different radii for the different services.

Will you be able to have a TV in your room? Play cat TV for her. There’s a lot of options on YouTube. If you can afford it, an interactive toy can help keep a cat entertained and happy.

If you can't or don't want to get an automatic feeder, pick up a bunch of small plates or saucers from the thrift store, Buy Nothing group, etc. and use the dishwasher. You can use a grabber to move the plates and a ladle to put food down without having to bend all the way down. I got a couple of simple stainless steel water fountains. They were about $10 each. IDK if they were on sale because they were new but I switch them out so there's always a clean one available. The pump needs to be hand washed but it's a lot easier to wash it by hand than the entire fountain.

If you can get a Litter Robot, I *highly* recommend it. They're really expensive but if you have enough friends and family who want to go in on a present for you, it's a HUGE help. There are other systems that are easier to clean like the Breeze Litter Box. Their litter and pads are pricey but you can use regular pine pellets and puppy pads instead which are less pricey.

Iron is used in the synthesis of serotonin and dopamine so it makes sense to me that iron deficiency can cause symptoms that mimic or make the symptoms of various mental health illnesses worse.

You mention low TSH. Hyperthyroidism can cause similar symptoms too. Did your doctor give you a referral to endocrinology?

Did you use anything to secure the glass to the metal shelf holders?
