Has anyone used the Elvarli system as a bookshelf solution? Not talking about just a few books placed here and there, but really used to its full capacity. Although I do like the ability to have drawer storage on the bottom, Vitsoe 606 style.

I'm a bit reluctant to have my walls supporting all the shelf weight (although this is probably unfounded), so I like the approach of the Elvarli, with both tension pole and ladder versions.

However, the shelves seem a bit too deep for the average paperback - I can't tell if there's a less deep shelf since so many things are out of stock here in Canada. Ideally some levels would have deeper shelves for bigger art books, and then less deep shelves for paperbacks.

Just curious if anyone has done this and how it looks, and if there are better current solutions at Ikea that I'm not aware of?

Or should I consider trying to find something like the Algot or Stolmen system second-hand?
