I believe the next steps would to look into a program you’re interested in. Once you’ve chosen a program, most nursing programs have similar pre requisites prior to applying so i would work on those. Community colleges are a good start to look into for prerequisites and affordable nursing programs.

Yes, Riverside is the hospital i’m about to work in. Sentara was offering $30 and some change even when i tried to counteroffer them and their bonus was 7k and i heard that my friend who has MA & CNA experience was offered $31 by bon secours.
Newport News location, with my CNA and PT Tech experience, ADN degree, i’ve been offered $33.64 with a 6k bonus. Idk if that helps 😅

How to get my foot in the door with critical care?Seeking Advice
Nursing student here finishing up their last semester! I loved my critical care clinicals, particularly MICU and SICU. Some professors say just apply for what you want because you can absolutely be a new grad and get into ICU. Other professors say to establish those everyday nursing skills in a med surg unit prior to getting into ICU. I’m going to shoot my shot and throw some applications to some critical care units. How do I make myself a competitive applicant?
My tummy cant handle a heavy meal at night so usually i get trail mix/mixed nuts and a meal replacement shake🤷♀️
