Yeah I tried that too but the split had the same issue. Any other ideas? I could disassemble and split each surface but that sounds like a pain

Surface Trim Error: Is there a better method of performing this trim?GSD

I'm getting this error when I attempt to trim this larger surface and this smaller surface together. I assume it's due to the shared face on the right side, but I'm not certain. Is there a better and more robust way to complete this trim? It has solved itself in the past but when I've changed geometry it throws this error. I have also tried intersecting the surfaces and splitting them with the wires, but this has the same error.

Any tips on performing this trim would be appreciated.

Looking for ExamplesAssembly Design

Does anybody have any non-confidential, large assemblies that they wouldn't mind sharing? I enjoy learning from other people's models and want to see examples of how people structure their large assemblies. I'm the only person at my company on Catia (we were Solidworks only until recently) so I have no database to pull from for insporation.

My fiancé began by saying “Pumpkin Pie Sweetie Pie Face” but eventually settled on “Strawberry”

That is technically a 17% tip as it should be calculated pre tax. That said I give 20% unless the service was atrocious

Thanks. Yeah if this we're a part I had modelled I could have done it in vehicle position, but being scan data I just wanted to get the origin of the part right first.

Edit: I noticed on this feature above that I missed the "keep initial" checkbox which does what I want it to do. However on a feature like a split surface, it defaults to a "multi output" and creates the new split surface while keeping the old surface as well.

Stop Duplication When Creating FeaturesCatia V6

Hi All,

Pretty experienced Solidworks user coming from a product development background. I am having an issue where when I add a feature (in this case an Alignment feature for a 3D scan), it creates the intended results but also retains the existing geometry. This happens with most features such as trim/split commands and other types of transforms. Is there any way to stop this from happening so I don't have to constantly hide the prior geometry? When the tree fills up with lots of features, it can be difficult to know which ones are the final geometry and which are old. Also, when I do a "show all", they are all shown and I have to hide them all again.

Thanks.

Thanks! Planted on 5/5 so they've been in the ground for 2.5 weeks so I'll just let it ride

Northern hemisphere, 7A/B, picture is facing North. It’s been very rainy since we planted with maybe 2 sunny days and 8 rainy or cloudy days.

I have a dedicated GPU. It’s a RTX A4000. Just trying to find the best way in the graphics settings to increase FPS. Whether it be a certain setting or just lowering the render resolution

Yeah I know, unfortunately. The Xeon has a boost of like 5.0 GHz. When I run benchmarks it seems to be GPU bottlenecked though.

Would you recommend rendering at a lower resolution to get the frames? I have most of the other settings at or near low already. I'm not tied to 1440p in any way, lower would be OK for me.

Does Grant Stone have sales often/if at all? New to GYW, have gotten a couple pairs, and now want a pair of black CXL boots. I like the diesels, but would love to not spend more than $300.

…or would love to hear suggestions for similar boots at $300. Thanks

Awesome, thanks more knowledgable shoe people!
