I'm looking to get more into shoujo & josei because I like what I have read a lot more than the shounen & seinen I was into as a teen. to give an idea of my tastes, my favorite manga ever is Kanata Kara. I'm wanting to make a LARGE reading list so if you suggest something I'll probably add it.
I've had good progress with the Kaplan book but I haven't tried the tests yet. DON'T get the mometrix one, it's written in a way that is very difficult to actually learn from.
I don't use it as a catch all because I have a loved one who is triggered by the term due to their evangelical Christian upbringing. but I think for the majority of people it's probably fine.
Code Geass. it's very rare that I don't push through to the end of something I've already started but Code Geass really just made me say "I hate this, why am I doing this to myself?" I don't even remember why anymore bc it's been years, but that feeling has stuck with me.
I did planned parenthood for a while, I also would recommend checking if the online service folx takes your insurance, the trans woman I live with has had really good experiences with them.
oh yeah the police absolutely didn't do their job, I was trying to say that it literally did take a "good guy with a gun" to end the shooting because the police didn't act.
tbf the uvalde shooting was actually ended by an off duty border control agent who rushed in after he heard the shooting and shot the guy. but before that the police were refusing to enter and were preventing parents & other bystanders from entering to try to get their kids out.
is the fire one Out Of The Dust? I loved that book as a kid but also it is sad as hell.
"drop it!" because she tries to eat literally anything she can fit in her mouth lmao
my partner is an actual "golden retriever boyfriend". and I love him.
tolerate it makes me cry lol. I was in love with a person for almost 2 years who took advantage of that love without ever giving me anything back but emotional abuse.
I came here to say Egon Schiele. very talented but treated women like shit, including his younger sister who he sexually abused for years.
when a parent is so overbearing that their kids aren't allowed to have any level of their own internal world / thoughts / emotions. usually combined with an expectation of perfection.
growing up my mom either didn't give a damn about me and expected me to be 100% self sufficient, or did the above, and there was no in between.
my partner is a genderfluid lesbian!
Catholic Knees. one of my favorite songs ever made off one of my top 3 albums.
idk why you're getting downvoted, you're right. lilies like this are SO common to find wild in the south / southeast.
I thought this was an untagged dead snake from one of my reptile subs
my 1st grade teacher put on spirited away towards the end of the school year, we didn't get to finish it in class so I BEGGED my parents to add it to our Netflix list (back when they only did dvd deliveries). the rest is history.
if you're bigger chested or plus sized id rec Glamorise's 1066 No-Bounce Camisole Sports Bra. they're what I wear whenever I can't bind (like at the gym, or days where I'm taking breaks)
to be more exact: he hated ichneumon wasps because he thought their method of reproduction was horrific. which tbf it kind of is. their eggs parasitize living caterpillars, and when the eggs hatch the larvae eat the caterpillar alive from the inside out. in the US this can most often be seen with tomato hornworms.
other than the standard "I love you"s? "please don't eat that" and "keep your teeth to yourself"
the free therapy thru friends of the family was sooo helpful to me after my own DV experience. they also offer legal aid that I wasn't able to take advantage of but I'm sure would've been great based on my experiences with everyone else there.
to be fair I still have depression, it's just managed now. but for me it was Wellbutrin. only medication I've tried that's ever even touched my mood.
Those who have had depression and now don't, what finally worked?
