This is a great first synth, hours of fun and innovation. Wait until you upgrade the firmware and see all the cool sampling and granular stuff you can do with it.

That's when the choring starts. I always have laundry, dishes, cleaning to do. When that's not going on, I write music, I play with my camera, I organize or tackle other weird big projects I usually dont have time for like putti g together a shelving unit, or clothes dying or cooking some elbaorte meal. When it's slow you can do that, as long as your work is getting done and your mouse is getting the occasional push to keep big brother happy. The possibilities are endless!!! People would kill for that free time!

I wanted Corday to eventually end up with Rocket and for Rocket to be more humbled by his whole experience of losing his arm and becoming a highly respected teacher and mentor.

I wanted more of Jerry and Malick and Chuni's back story. They were on the show forever and we never really get a chance to know anything much about their personal lives.

At least Pratt leaves eventually. He really bothers me. I never made it past the Romano Helcopter episode when it aired originally and I am middle season 13 right now, and it is a real chore to watch.

Also note the smaller synths like Korg Volca series or things like the Roland S1 or microfreak are within the 150 - 300 dollar range. Especially used. I would personally say invest in circuit tracks. It's a great little groove box that has polyphonic synth, sampling and drums all in one place and that's within that price range as well.

Sacrilege. Also season 13 is a slog to get through

Chelsea Wolf, Charlotte Adigery, Bjork (especially her first few albums) Fiona Apple, The Knife. Fever Ray, Tricky (at least half the time features a specific female vocalist and kind of the roots of where Phantograms sound comes from) The Sprints, The Kills, The Gossip, Heart, Pat Benetar, Massive Attack, Siouxsie and the Banshees.

Sounds like you need some new friends. That's a shitty way to react to a friend trying to share their creative ideas with you. Especially if that haven't even heard it yet. When people act like that I just put them on the spot and ask them what they have been doing lately and they usually have absolutely nothing interesting to say. Making a mixtape, even a bad one, is way more interesting than what most people are even trying to so woth their lives. Just remind them that "hey at least I am trying to do something, what are you trying to do that's even remotely interesting?"

I hated the writing in that season. It became mainly just another boring cop drama. Mulder becomes such a bummer, scully is mainly just doing mommy stuff and seems to have genuinely forgotten most of the time that shes a doctor and an FBI agent and ends up in this totally helpless role that contradicts her character development and every other episode is about her dumb baby which I could care less about. I like that the Lone Gunmen play a bigger role but that's about it. But I found Dogget and Monica Reyes to be a real bore. I felt like i was just watching Law and Order most of the time with the occasional scifi subplot thrown in. Also just the dialog and the writing was awful. I don't know how many times I could hear Dogget say the phrase "dollars to donuts". Honestly I found most of story arch to be the least interesting part of the show. All my favorite episodes were the creature of the week stuff. The Jim Rose episode, the Peter Boyle episode, the Giovanni Ribisi episode. That stuff was actually fun to watch. I wish they would have at least attempted to recapture that energy more than like once or twice each newer season but they never did and I feel like that's why it ultimately died out.

I have created several albums, mostly on DAW. But this other method of recording is newer for me. I have an EP and a single, under my belt using this method and just recently put out two more singles from my EP that I am working on right now.

I use a Corcuit tracks for playing live and just bring a couple of smaller aynths, usually volcas, and a 6S and a couple of pedals. I use the Circuit Tracks for its 2 synths, plus it's two dedicated midi channels for the vocals. Then I use the four drum tracks as filler drum and then use the the 6S for the main drums

If you want classic goth with more of a metal edge, death rock sounds more like your thing. Look up early Christian Death or Kommunity FK,

You have to steal them and ship them to Doug Stanhope. He autographs them to give to fans, mostly to keep them out of circulation in hotel rooms.

I have both and they are awesome.

I have found that the Drum can be the most fun to experiment with, especially for weird ambient stuff. Get some negative space between your hits and hook that thing uo to a nice CDR or Delay Pedal and it would sound wicked

There's some killer new shit out there but it's just not getting the massive push that the older stuff does. Soft Riot, Mvtant, Odonis Odonis, Maelstrom and Louisahhh, Black Agent, Statiqbloom, Venus in Aries. But all that aggrotech and power noise garbage really set the genre back for a long time.

I started out recording 20 min jams and then sifting through them to piece together a song. I have since cut those jams down to 10 minutes which give me less to dig through and I re-record a couple of times to get the best takes.

Then I save the full long unedited version as an ableton file. Mostly with the mix dialed in. Then I save a new version for editing. I take the long version of the song and all the files, and move them way down on the timeline, giving myself about 5 minutes of empty space to drag and drop clips from the mixed jam, and that's how I compile my songs. Once I have that dialed in, I save a third version of the "album version" that includes all my mastering and final mixdown. Then I compile the songs into different folders for different album or project ideas and when I have enough in any partilcar folder, I have an album.

In the meantime I release one off tracks, usually two "singles" per album I plan to release

Yeah I was bummed putative how they handled his story arc. It could have been much better. He's a great actor and they kinda did him dirty.

Morris does start redeeming himself while still being a dumbass at the same time. But yeah he's a bumbing idiot for almost 2 seasons before he gets his act together, kind of.
