I know this has been said before but I'm watching early S10 and I still can't believe my eyes! How has Morris got through both med school and his first year of residency without anyone pulling him up and telling him he isn't going to make a good doctor. He is absolutely useless and incompetent. I know he has character development in upcoming episodes but come on?! Seriously! He actively avoids treating patients and doesn't know anything
Loved Coop, wish he stayed
If he was made main cast like Morris, we’d have perhaps never got Its Always Sunny in Philadelphia
Agree with what another poster said. He was (bad) comic relief, probably going to be a short term character but decided to keep him which makes this early storyline inconsistent and honestly ridiculous.
That would make sense. If he has been that exact character but a med student I could accept it or even an R1, but surely not an R2 unless he was written like that so we, the viewer thought how much more skilled and competent Pratt was comparatively as he is also R2
I think he may have been written as a short term character, but stayed on because people liked him.
Yep they did. There is a video on YouTube from a paleyfest interview around season 14 where he talks about receiving the offer to become a permanent cast member
Morris does start redeeming himself while still being a dumbass at the same time. But yeah he's a bumbing idiot for almost 2 seasons before he gets his act together, kind of.
Does he get better because I currently can't stand him! 😂
I think he does. Hated him in the beginning. Ends up being one of my favorites towards the end.
Not much
I realized that the first time I respected him as a doctor was after the shootout in season 12. Something about the way he said, "If you don't get treatment I'm going to have two patients incubate." to Luka
He's over the top incompetent but not as unrealistic as we'd hope it was unfortunately lol
I remember when mum was in hospital and a doctor took her blood and I literally couldn't believe how he could get in such a muddle, totally useless wish a nurse had done it.
yeah, I believe that. My wife is a doctor and she tells me that she's worked with residents that have no idea to how to put an IV correctly and don't seem to care when they do it wrong. It's scary how some people are allowed to graduate that way
Never ask a doc to get blood when a nurse is right there.
It’s Morris’ fault that Romano died lol
Oh yeah hadn't thought of that. And was it Frank saying take the Rolex watch up to the roof/helicopter quickly before they leave UNLESS YOU'RE TOO SCARED... Romano: scared! I'll show them!!! Goes up to the roof.... Gets scared.... Runs outside in a panic for fresh air Noooooooo
Yes but he lingered outside too long because he smelled Morris smoking pot and then went to yell at him and got BBQed
Bbqd lol.
I think they didn't put much stock into the character early on, and then when more people started to leave (Carter, Kovac, Weaver, etc) they had no choice but to put some work into the character since he'd been there a fair amount of time by then.
I never liked the character, but at least he doesn't make me wanna stop watching like Sam does.
Morris was retconned to be the new Carter. Remember when we first saw him, he was a third-year that already had rotations under his belt but didn’t know how to do anything.
They should have chosen Coop though in my opinion
Without giving much away, I think there might be glimpses of good but the writers did a good job of hiding it. Keep watching.
Romano died.
Coop was dragging him along and making him look better.
