To all my fellow CF Ohioans, we did it! Issue One got voted down and now we keep this fight moving to November! We’re so close to getting abortion rights in our Constitution!!
We’re Midwest. I live in the western part of the state and having spent many a road trip as a kid visiting family in Iowa and Nebraska, driving through the farmlands here makes you feel like you’re further west. The eastern part skirts Appalachia, but otherwise it feels very Midwestern.
If you think hotels are as anal about occupancy in rooms as this OP is you’re delusional.
I don’t like the idea of being a parent. Kids are ok in my book.
I’ve never heard it put so eloquently.
Frontier, just give me animal signs. I hate having the animal signs for each pack only fit that pack aesthetically and not at a minimum add a “Planet Zoo” style for each one. Like, maybe I want to add the new Tasmanian devil to my Australia area. Well, I can either have no animal sign or an animal sign that doesn’t fit aesthetically. /rant
lmao I am not a heavy drinker and the folks I know who are are the ones with kids.
Companionship, a relationship that’s deeper than a friendship.
My 2 cents is that if you’re spending Deluxe money, I’d want to get my money’s worth, which means time away from the parks to better enjoy the resort’s amenities.
Tie between Pirates of the Caribbean and Haunted Mansion.
Definitely her own baggage there. I’m 39 and that’s how I usually spend my weekends, too.
You’re not alone. I split with my ex-husband a couple years ago and I’m just now in a place financially where I can afford it on my own.
Get situated at the hotel, maybe check out Disney Springs. The day you leave I’d ask about a late check-out and just relax at the hotel. Full Disney days are busy enough, no need to cram more stuff in on half-days.
100% this. This world is built for couples and families, but when you are single it’s easy to get left out.
I was in an 8 year relationship, 4 of it married. So I’ve been on the other side. I think it’s normal to feel jealous or have some FOMO over it, but I think it’s more important to feel happy in staying true to who you are.
Going during the summer months. Going during Christmas. Turkey legs. Churros.
While I enjoy kids and have nothing against them I know it’s not a lifestyle I want. I enjoy my freedom and knowing I can’t afford to have kids is a huge deterrent. I don’t want any theoretical family I were to have to be living in poverty.
Nope, would not be the asshole. I go to DragonCon every year and one year I had a cousin get married the same weekend. The invites went out after I had already paid for my ticket and hotel, both nonrefundable. I know my mom was annoyed by it, but I wasn’t about to shell out hundreds of more dollars on top of what I would’ve lost not going to the convention.
Go, have fun. Don’t think twice about what your family thinks. There are worse ways to spend your money.
Same! I’ve always wanted to move down there, but between climate change and the current political nightmare that state is I think I’ll stay put for now.
Yes. Abortions are a deeply personal choice and while you may not be ok with getting one personally, that does not mean your personal preference gets to dictate what other people do. It’s kinda like if I got a butterfly tattoo and then went around telling everyone that they need to get a butterfly tattoo as well.
Back when I was a driver I’d stop at our lot for lunch and go back online when I was done.
As an Astarion girlie I will burn the world down if they mess with him. Respectfully.
Well, Swen has spoken, but the good news is that...
