I use an e-pl8, you can get it used quite cheap. It can take a viewfinder, it looks great, and it’s small. Image quality and performance are good enough for anything I’ve really needed. Even the kit lens is good in it. Dog is a picture I took using it and the kit lens for reference.
I prefer the color. Maybe do a levels adjustment in the first image to brighten it just a bit. The color though, it’s so good!
Well… I would say if you’re getting the 25, look into the 12 as well. It will give you a wider spread and help you get closer to your subject too. If it were me those would be my choice.
I’m thinking about grabbing that one too. How is the sharpness compared to the 56? I’ve heard mixed results but the weather sealing sounds nice.
I have the black model, and haven’t had any heat issues yet when I was in Alabama for the summer, but that’s definitely something to keep in mind. I just didn’t want the goofy look of a black camera and a silver lens 😂
Same! The 70-200 was great but heavy as all get out. I have the 12-40 f2.8, 40-150 f2.8, 45 f1.8, 75 f1.8, and 30mm f3.5 macro. The last one on my list is the 12mm f2 and I think I’ll be set.
I never through about that. I may have to give it a shot.
I wouldn’t call it a curse, I had the same issue using a 135 on full frame back in the day. The more telephoto the more ya gotta back up haha.

I was about 15 feet max I believe. I may have just been 10. You definitely need some distance haha. If that’s a concern I use the 45mm a lot for in studio too and it’s great (and cheap 😂).
You need a lot of space, to do something like that I was at least 15 feet away haha
The full res photo was incredibly sharp. It’s absolutely one of my favorites by far

He totally drools for food, but that’s it. He is stinky, yes. He’s folds do require daily cleansing. But it’s worth it.
The 45 f1.8 is a great portrait lens. The 17 f1.8 is also a fabulous walk around lens. My favorite lately has been the 15mm f8 body cap though. It’s so bad it’s good
