Personally, I wasn't upset about the number of companions, but how completely uninteresting, cliche, and one-dimensional they were. They felt like they were written by a high-schooler.

This is how I felt about it. It simply wasn't interesting, and the "end" just being a new game+ gimmick with no resolution was deeply unsatisfying. The faction quests were much more interesting for the most part.

It doesn't have to be "save the universe" stakes. It just needs to be good.

Getting enslaved isn't necessarily a bad thing if it happens to you.

To be fair though, Adam Sandler's serious movies make far less money than his comedy stuff. Click and Big Daddy both made around $240 million at the box office while Reign Over Me (which I thought was very good) made $22 million.

Adam Sandler is big enough that he can do whatever he wants, but that doesn't mean people will go watch it, unfortunately.

My girlfriend is a manager at an auto parts store. She had a delivery driver (in his 60s) get reported for making inappropriate comments to a young woman at a mechanic shop they deliver to. Stuff like "Oh, if only I was 30 years younger, I'd be all over that." This is after another shop made a report that he was making racist jokes/comments.

HR just told her to write him up. He still has a job.

I'm going to necro this thread just to highlight how good this place is. We moved from Hampton to Norfolk and still make the trip to York County just for this hibachi because nothing on this side of the water compares.

I found this thread because we literally made a special trip across the tunnel today just for this, and I'd really like a more convenient option. I have the same problem OP does, whenever I ask someone about Hibachi places they always point you to some Japanese steakhouse, when what I'm really looking for is like street food type hibachi.

This right here. Look, I made bad decisions sometimes, I own that. Instead of ranting about the past with college, offer alternatives. The past is the past, it's done. Bringing it up over and over is just going to lead to that person not talking to you about things.

It was around Valentines Day 2022, and we went to go see Marry Me. It was a weekday matinee, plus people were still avoiding theaters because of Covid.

We booked it a few days ahead of time just in case, but we were literally the only people there. At least, that's what we thought.

Towards the end of the previews, this other couple comes in and sits right beside us. I checked the website, and sure enough, they had chosen those seats. They had almost the entire theater to choose from and decided to sit right next to us.

Unfortunately, a lot of people now seem to be competing over who can fuck over their kids the most when they die.

So after cheap college degrees, cheap houses, cheap cars, and enjoying Social Security/Medicare while future generations face the reality that those things may not even exist for us, they don't want to pay their taxes either?

Back in the day, I remember seeing criticism. It was mostly about the rushed ending, but the ending was also just kind of weird at the time. Stuff about wounds in the force, the total frustration that is Kreia/Darth Traya, it was pretty different from other Star Wars stuff at the time.

I think that the sequels have made people appreciate some Star Wars stuff more tbh. Because compared to TLJ, KOTOR 2 is phenomenal. It probably helps that really good, KOTOR type rpgs are few and far between now.

Look, if you want to be generous and setup college funds to help your stepsiblings out, that's your business.

But let us be perfectly clear, that is YOUR choice to make, because it is your money. Don't let them guilt you into giving away your inheritance because "we put a roof over your head." That's bullshit. It's the bare minimum requirement of being a parent, and you don't owe them. Your stepsiblings are not your responsibility. Their medical needs are not your responsibility. They are adults who made their own decisions, and it's not on you to bail them out of it.

You want to know why there are so many stories of people winning the lottery and then being broke a few years later? A lack of financial responsibility, combined with feeling guilty and spending their money on everyone else around them. Don't feel guilty, those people are not your burden.

It definitely depends on who you talk to. I have some friends that just flat out refuse to play it based on the release. Some of them actually own it already and just prefer to not play.

Growing up, my mom routinely decided for me that certain hobbies were childish or wasteful.

That didn't stop her from sitting around watching daytime soaps and Lifetime movies though.

At the end of the day, as long as your responsibilities are being fulfilled, do what makes you happy. Your free time is your business.

So let me get this straight.

When you're too lazy to take your ass to the store, and then you can't act like an adult and answer a simple question when you can't get your way . . .

Everyone who doesn't bow down and kiss your feet is the whiny baby?

I read the whole thing. Shopper gave OP the available options, OP kept asking for an option that doesn't exist, then gets surprised when the shopper gets tired of talking to a brick wall.

It's pretty simple really

There is the flotsam safe house that people have already mentioned.

If you keep going northwest, not far from the shore near the border to the Cannibal Plains, there is an abandoned village. It isn't owned by anyone, so it isn't stealing, but there is usually some bread and dried meat and such laying around. Between that and the safe house you should be good for a bit.

It's pretty simple once you understand their mindset.

The world revolves around them, and everyone else exists to make sure they get whatever they want.

Once you keep that in mind, everything makes sense.

I agree, being 38 and not 20 as he seems to think, I remember the 90s quite well.

However, it didn't seem worth my time to argue with him.

Young people under 60 shouldn't have to pay Social Security or Medicare. We're not retiring anytime soon.

Let's see who wins.
