Former 2nd grade teacher here: read Henry and Mudge series, about a boy and his dog Mudge (good for beginning new readers) or Beverly Cleary who writes about 3-4th grade books about Rigsby and Henry. She wrote The Mouse and The Motorcycle if you’ve seen the movie. The one thing I miss about teaching was reading aloud to kids!

Sore throat for several weeks and then I couldn’t get out of bed this weekend, extreme exhaustion, body aches, headache, cough, sneezing. Went to weekend Dr who said it’s probably the flu because the vaccine didn’t work well this year. (I’m vaxed for flu & COVID). I tested negative for strep, COVID and flu so Dr said upper respiratory infection and to expect several weeks of this. Yee haw. He gave me prescription cough medicine which gives me horrible dreams and prescription nasal spray which is like blow drying the insides of my mouth and nose. I’m still coughing, sore throat, and tired af. So yes I know others with this too.
Speaking in a foreign accent is likely from one of her personalities. My sil had MPD and it was heartbreaking to watch and realize how badly trauma affects some people.

Every life skills sub job I took, the paras do all the hard work. Mostly they need a teacher there for walking students to other places and helping with the day. Much respect for people who do this.

My soul dog’s ashes are in the cremation box since 2019. I am so not attached to them as I believe ashes to ashes. Max is gone; I have lots of photos of him to help with the memories. He was 120 pounds so the ashes weigh a lot. They are heavy like a weight, literally and figuratively. I want to let those ashes become part of something else he loved, a spot in the yard, the mulch in the gardens, spots in the neighborhood we walked. I don’t want to hang onto the weight anymore and I’m ok with that. I have 2 more shepherds now so I’m busy with their lives. OP don’t let others make you feel guilty for wanting to let go of the ashes. ❤️
