Jackie J was projecting on to the guys trying to take back control. Whilst she is probably right about them not being honest and acting a bit like boys, she was OTT at the end. It got awks pretty fast …

I got laid off when I was late twenties. Had concerns similar to you. I ended up having 6 months off and it was fine (I had some other stuff going on in my life so took a few months to myself). Once you get through it you’ll realise that it’s a good experience to have early on in your career as it builds resilience. All the best on your job search; try not to let it get you down!

That’s awful. It’s a stressful experience to begin with let alone having a-holes like that making it worse

Does anyone get the feeling that Ariana and Tom made an agreement to have it play out the way it has? I mean, Tom is making a sh*it ton off of the mess; as is Ariana. They both knew their time on the show was coming to an end as they weren’t working at VP anymore and could probably see that the show was losing its edge - they’ve been on it for 10 years - they know how it works!

I don’t think she read the contract tbh because yeah, it’s a big mistake for a conveyancer. We asked her to do the contract for sale of our previous place which was for an older, smaller apartment; guessing maybe she assumed what price range we were buying into based on that….?

I get your point, but I think migrants are said to be more educated than the general population in Australia overall. Younger migrants also support an ageing population which will become more significant over this coming decade and more.

Yup! We still can’t believe it. I’m assuming it was to avoid issues w her insurance but will never really know

Not entirely in line with your question but was still something we received at settlement and I still can’t believe it happened. We were due to settle on a Monday, the bank loan was all sorted and ready to go. Then on the Friday before that Monday our conveyancer told us she hadn’t accurately calculated our stamp duty costs and that we needed another $50k!! It was impossible for us to extend the loan in time for that and we would have been liable for those incredibly large daily late fees. Luckily the conveyancer put her bad advice in an email which I found (phew) and shared with her saying we would pursue any costs in court. She called us on the Monday morning to say she transferred $50k into the central settlement account 🤯

Reducing immigration is a bit of a double edged sword

A 37 year old man is doing this? Should we be surprised … 🙄

And what would that be in this scenario ? … “I’ll tell you how I’m doing? Not well friend? Compatriot? Foe?” doesn’t have the same ring! 😅

I’m more going to your point. You want Australian friends but every second person has parents born overseas so you might struggle to find them 😅

If he’s born here he is Aussie. More than half of us have a parent born overseas!

But look at the potential reasons - they are sufficiently broad enough to apply in a number of work circumstances. Item 3 in particular could be argued by your employer in a few ways including low or inefficient employee engagement and challenges building team morale due to less team engagement

I love working half days in office, usually morning, rest of day at home. This allows me to meet and greet with colleagues, friends, attend meetings, etc. I sometimes am needed to work long days so splitting it helps with managing those demands, including my mental health.

I’m in management and I understand more people want to work from home more. I’m ok with that but prefer that my staff talk to me about it first rather than just assuming it’s ok, particularly the newer or more junior staff. I think there are benefits of working in the office which some staff with less experience haven’t yet had the chance to recognise. I want to be able to share and encourage those opportunities with a view to supporting their development.

The inner city Melbourne blocks built 1970-80 with around 10-15 apartments max. are usually pretty good value. The buildings are simple and are unlikely to have a lift, which reduces your body corp fees significantly. Call and get the minutes of previous body corp meetings to get a sense of how they are working together. We didn’t do pest inspection etc. as it gets a bit exey once you start bidding for places but not be successful.

Yes! If we ever get into a fight and I try to explain my perspective from different angles he can’t seem to follow along and accuses me of going off on all these different tangents. It’s beyond frustrating

I put a layer of 3 or 4 thick blankets over a couple of shoulder pads lined side by side. The layers of blankets will be dependent on each person. I’m starting to feel less unstable and am enjoying the pose more, but it’s taken a while tbh

Living together is very different to dating.
