But you do have to get someone to let you in, as your key card won't have access.

While the sides of the ship are called "port" and "starboard", that doesn't actually have any bearing on which side of the ship will be toward the shore when the ship is docked, it depends on each berth.

It does sound like there should have been better communication from the bridge overall during your cruise.

They also were likely to have to use a pilot for College Fjord, so that scheduling would also be a factor.

The ship can't just decide to divert from their itinerary because the weather is nice. They likely had a pilot booked for Whittier, so couldn't just arrive several hours later for no reason.

During 2nd or 3rd season, there was a freak snowstorm in NC, and the camera crew went nuts running around trying to get establishing shots of all the locations with ACTUAL SNOW!

This was before so many of the shows were made by the networks -- Dawson's Creek was a Columbia TriStar show, the company that became Sony Television.

Trying to make it into a show about young hopefuls breaking into Broadway rather than experienced chorus members trying to survive on Broadway....

Underwater Light by Maya was my entry into H/D, and it will always hold a warm place in my heart.

On the plus side, I liked hearing the ACTUAL music.

Somewhere in an attic in NJ I have the shooting script for this episode, with all the different revisions. It's been too long for me to actually remember the details, but I remember the script went through a LOT of changes!

It is. It's right on their website, and has been for years:

https://www.princess.com/en-us/faq/pre-cruise under Travel Document Requirements

Domestic itineraries

The Western Hemisphere Travel Initiative (WHTI) governs acceptable travel documents for entry into the U.S. by sea from Bermuda, Canada, the Caribbean, Hawaii, Mexico or within the United States. We highly recommend a passport. We also require a passport for all guests in a travel party when minors are traveling with only one adult (21 years and older).

The footnote mark goes to:

†We have implemented this requirement because we want to ensure that your party remains together should an emergency arise that requires one or more members to be disembarked in a non-U.S. port. We cannot guarantee that all members of your party will be allowed to disembark with just a WHTI-compliant document or birth certificate. Failure to present a valid passport for all guests traveling together will result in denial of boarding without refund of the cruise or cruisetour fare.

If it's just one parent and one child they've likely allowed it because "all members of your party" would be staying together

That's the official policy but since you're only in Canada for Victoria (presumably?) they'll likely let you go with just birth certificates and government-issued photos IDs (the youngest just needs the birth certificate). Have you called?

The policy is so that of one member of your party needed to be disembarked, say for illness or injury, the parent would be with one child but that would leave one minor alone without parental supervision, so they require ecweyine to have the documents to allow them to disembark in a foreign country.

I'm allergic to cats and dogs, I always ask at the desk if there are any pets or service animals on board so I can take extra allergy meds and try to not be seated too close to them. Learned this trick after being stuck across the aisle from someone with a cat for a six hours flight!

Yes, I'm so perplexed by all the people saying this is a made up name!

I think it's deeply entertaining that you think Kevin Williamson had any idea what he'd do after those first 13 episodes.

Also, it's worth noting that chemistry between two characters/actors is very subjective. Just because you didn't think Dawson and Joey had chemistry doesn't mean no one else did.

The beating scene in Spring Awakening was awkward as fuck. When Wendla says, "I can't feel anything," and Melchior responds with, "Maybe not...through your dress," it got laughs more often than not.

It's about the contracts, and the money.

The contracts - Actors Equity contracts are for live performances of the show. There are some provisions for other media, like each actor being paid a week's salary for doing a cast recording. So in order to record/stream/broadcast the show, they need to negotiate new contracts with every performer. Not to mention the rest of the unions involved.

The money - it costs a lot of money to make and distribute a pro shot of a show. Besides contracts and royalties, production costs are higher than you probably think. It cost $10M to film Hamilton. If a show is struggling to make its weekly nut, who's paying for that? If a show is a hit there are more opportunities, but Disney paying $75M for the rights to Hamilton is an outlier.

tl;dr - If it were easy to produce and distrubute pro shots of every show, THEY'D ALREADY BE DOING IT.

In Spring Awakening, in the scene with Ilse and Moritz in the woods, she says she's been living at a artists colony with a bunch of horny men called "Priapia."

I always assumed this was a joke about priapism (a state of having a prolonged erection), and never understood why no one else seemed to find it funny.
