Was the love triangle always going to be part of the show or did they change direction because of Katie Holmes and Josh Jackson's amazing chemistry? That first season I don't even think they had that many scenes together, at least not any memorable ones. Then season 2 hits, and boom, the sexual tension is insane.

I made a previous post about James Van Der Beek and Katie Holmes having ZERO CHEMISTRY. Their romantic scenes are so uncomfortable for me to watch. I know shows have "chemistry readings" so I'm thoroughly confused as to how Katie and James were paired together to be "soulmates." From the get-go they have a very brother/sister feel to them. Their love scenes are CRINGE!

I'm wondering if Joey and Dawson were supposed to the this on again/off again love story through the whole show. Like yes, other love interests would enter the picture to add some drama to their love story, but in the end their love conquers all. But then, because of Pacey and Joey's obvious chemistry, they decided to throw a wrench and make it a love triangle OR what that the intent from the beginning.?

The show obviously goes from Dawson being the main character, to Joey being the main character. But for me, they are both insufferable. I did enjoy the show, but mostly because of Pacey, Jack, and Jen. I loved them.
