White. Like... mostly white. Can't really tell from the pic though lol
I crafted Twilight and Sunrise, made Eternity, and then sold Eternity.
Honestly don't really regret it too much, considering I am still living off of the money I earned doing it. But this was right before HoT came out, and before the Legendary Armory was a thing.
So here I was, two legendary GS's made, and all I had were the skins. It's fair enough, I suppose, considering I had the money from selling it... still felt a bit bummed.
Anyway, now I have the Aurene, Twightlight, and Sunrise skins. I've made three GS legendaries, and for some reason, that makes me feel icky.
Master of Puppets.
I HATED Metallica, mainly ignorance (and napster shinanagans), until I gave this album a solid try. The fact that it transitioned my hate for the band into a fan speak volumes. If you haven't listened to it, and enjoy a good head-banger, it's a no brainer.
2, 1, 3.
Keep in mind, this is like listing my favorite flavors of water; all of them are delicious and essential to live. No losers here.
2 rockets to the moon with characters, the best in all of gaming (hot take, I am sure), and the ground-level stories it tells are world-building, personal, and often intense.1 has a leg up in the story department in terms of scope, and is a strong start that would inevitably be improved upon. And 3 is a non-stop crusade of sweet, pure, unadulterated fan service; and as a fan--mmm delicious.
And then there's Andromeda. It's fine, but vastly overshadowed by what came before it.
I am always the combo breaker. I say "Howdy" or "Yo!" instead of "Hi". I feel like "Hi" is slightly overused.
Life's gotta have some spice, y'know?
Being able to find, interpret, and execute the solution to computer problems is a skill onto itself!
Engineer. The sheer number of buttons I get to press is unmatched!
PUGs tend want things done how they expect they are done, which often does not reflect reality. That, and they are incapable of reading.
By leaps and bounds, my best experience learning raids came out of the Raid Academy discord (just google "Raid Academy Snow Crows, and you'll find it). Tons of masochists with zero expectations willing to teach newbies about every fight. And they don't expect tips either. Doing gods work, they are.
It's a bit to set up, but it's totally worth it. I am not used to Discord, but RA's seems pretty well set up. Only cavate is that there is no obvious set schedule. You kind of have to monitor it while you're active. And try to be flexible with your builds, since occasionally they ask for specific boons, etc.
Do the trainings and eventually you can join Full Clear groups and rack up those LI's like mad.
Fractal God, hopefully.
Getting into the CM Fractals as well... which should make getting Fractal God much, much easier.
I've always said WvW is both the best and worst content in the game.
When it's good, it's fantastic fun. When it's bad, it's frickin' miserable.
You kind of have to get "into it" to get the most of it though. That means joining the discords, owning your role, and wearing the optimal gear. Hours will just fly by as a functioning squad getting stuff done.
I played WvW almost exclusively to get the legendary armor and 2 rings (and a bagillion Gifts of Battle). It was both a great and miserable experience.
Me: OMG, is this my call to adventure?
Them: Uh, no. Is your mom home?
Cardinal Adina.
While not difficult overall, the flow of the fight is super satisfying, and having positioning be crucial to the fight is engaging. It's a good fight, imo.
On the plus side, every single one of their abilities are on cool down lol
I am pretty close to Ocean and Sediment.
It's consumables at the top, like food and stuff. Then the Ocean of space in the middle for when I am content crunching. And at the bottom are all of my weapons and armor, along with other "important" things.
Actually... as I keep looking, I am exactly like Ocean and Sediment.
"They call me a monster, and you a hero. The world expects Palawa Joko to dare to throw reality into chaos! But surely no mortal would be so mon-u-mentally STUPID as to destroy a dragon, the life force of this world. Let alone two. And a god to boot? Perhaps they will finally thank me for luring you to me... so that I. May save the world. From you. Once you're gone, everyone will flock to my embrace. They will all love ME... Palawa Ignacious J--urk!"
Joko's speech in S4 is just too good. I've watched it many times and it's just kinda stuck with me ever since.
Bonus-- "By Ogdens Hammer, What savings!"
Just listened, worse, WATCHED a BotDF song called "Bewitched", and I. Cannot. Stop. Cringing.
I was originally in the anti-arcdps party--I thought it was just a toxicity enabler. But then I tried learning to play support characters. Knowing my personal boon uptime and the overall party DPS, let me know where I needed to focus and improve. It actually made me a better player.
I never really cared about the performance of my party (unless there was an egregious issue), I am far more interested in my personal performance.
Holosmith is my favorite class in the game. I tend to gravitate to the low skill floor/high skill ceiling classes. It's mobile enough, and has all the utility the engineer is used to, plus some fantastic damage, in both condi and power. If holosmith had a boon support/healing build, I am pretty sure it would be the only class I would play.
Scrapper is in a weird spot atm. Needs some fine-tuning from anet to make it better as a boon source/support. Otherwise, it's good for damage, and by nature it's tanky as all get-out. I use it for open world zerg stuff, mainly.
Mechanist can do just about everything. It's got a really good condi spec, a good (albeit a bit braindead) power spec, and a very good support spec. I generally only use mechanist to play boon support/heal.
No wrong choices here, really. :-)
UT2004 and Far Cry (the OG one).
KFC money put to good use, me and my 9800xt.
Then there was the xbox 360 dark ages. And then around 2010 I got back into it, and the rest is history.
I remember going to a catholic pre-school as a wee lad, and one of the days we toured the actual church connected to it.
One look at the poor, mutualized, bearded man hanging bloodied on a cross, straight up center-stage, glorified on a podium--I mean, I still remember it so it must have made a hell of an impression--but one look really told me, "Yeah, this is not my jams". I basically ignored everything Christian-related from the get-go, but that imagery really spooked me. From then on I thought that people who are into whatever that was, were all a bit bonkers.
Parents never pushed for it, and I never sought it out, so in my mind it was all a bit alien. Still is.
Carroll County--Still no power as of 9am. Work is closed for the day.
Apparently 140 in Westminster got whacked pretty hard, with a row of power lines essentially snapped in half, so I am guessing it's going to be a little while till power comes back.
I noticed that the PC version is being worked on by "Not-Netherrealm" just like MK11 was, so I fear you are probably correct. :-(
My only gripe with Scarlet was that she became a good character only after she died.
After you learn all that you do about her, she becomes one of the better characters in the story. Not to mention her role in everything is pivotal.
Scarlet is such a good antagonist
