Yes, trying to master individually recorded tracks of different instruments that didn't use clicks is a horror show

I meant it for those that are playing in a band or a group. Imagine each instrument being in their own tempo

Reminder to new musicians: please learn how to play to a click 🙏

I've been working with different groups of aspiring musicians he past few weeks and the realization of how A LOT of newbies don't know how to stay in tempo or play to a click track is mind boggling.

I had to remind and even re-train most of them on how to do so and how it will really help them in the long run especially if they want to record their songs -- imagine trying to master a song with tracks that have different speeds in different parts of the song!! 😵 I even joked that I should've charged them more for the free lessons I gave them just to get through with it and it's obviously more than half meant.

Believe me, knowing how to play to a click track will save you. We don't just use click tracks on recordings. We also use them in live performances via in-ear monitoring and it's a must to a lot of the professional gigs I've been to.

It'll be hard and distracting at first but it's a discipline worth learning. 👌

The red light fever is real. But the best tip here is to just.do.it. You can always re-do parts you need so starting out with somethings is still something even when it's shit

Yup! I actually have both youtube music and apple music. YTM for the no-ad version of youtube and the better recommendations and more music library. Apple Music for the sound quality

I'm okay to paying a bit more so artists can have better pay. I thought the price hike was actually for that. but as what happened here, it's not

Yup! That's when spotify announced this. They found a loophole!

I guess we'll have to thank spotify for letting people discover Tidal 😂

Maybe i just got scared withe the high ohms lol !thanks

Erm they only gave 0.0033 before. Not even 0.01 😅

Youtube music is the best for finding different versions. But their quality sucks 😅

If they released lossless the same time they promised, they would've been A LOT bigger than they are today. But they still didn't. And instead they keep on adding tiktok-like features

They also recently invested hundreds of dollars for joe rogan's non-exclusive podcast.

I think they really need to change gears and priorities if they want to stay afloat and not just resort to these kinds of bs

THIS!! they just paid him hundreds of millions for a NON-EXCLUSIVE deal. The priorities are super clear

Yesss but sadly, Tidal's song catalog is a bit limited

The way they put it, the regular premium plans we have now are now considered "bundles" since they now have a standalone audiobook plan. I was skeptical why they'd put that audiobook plan knowing full well that there will be very few people that'll sign up for that but I guess this is why

Apple Music is great if you're in the apple ecosystem.

There are news that they're planning on having it as an add on though. But still no announcement from them whatsoever. They'll likely put a higher price tag for that and maybe decrease the royalties further lol
