$20k / 10 days vacation in November

We have $20k and a max of 10 days to devote to a trip for our 10th anniversary in early November. It’s much harder than I thought to narrow down the options.

Most of our trips have been truly exhausting, I plan detailed itineraries and we are and on the go the entire trip. We like to be busy and to see as much as we can, but this isn’t that kind of trip, which has me pretty lost. We still want to have things to do, just not at an exhausting pace, need lots more down time this go around.

Things that we really want: For any flights longer than 6 hours from Florida, business class cost would have to be factored into our budget. The 10 day total we have also includes travel days, so that is kind of limiting how far I’d be willing to go, really do not want to spend more than 2 of those days traveling to get there and back.

Really do not want to have to plan. I know the money could go further if I planned it all, but that takes away from my enjoyment of the trip.

We do not want to be the youngest people in the place. We are late 30s/early 40s. We are social-ish. It’d be nice to be able to have the option of chatting with people and making some friends, but still have private time with just the two of us. If the age of the crowd is too old, we will end up on our own for the entirety of the trip which doesn’t sound as fun to us.

We want to be really spoiled and pampered, high end dining, personal butler service, spa services, planned outings to get out and do exciting things, whatever we’d like brought to us with a simple ask. We want to feel a little wealthy on this trip! We have never spent this much on a vacation. Initially when I started looking, an option I was considering was a private staffed villa somewhere with a private chef, butler, etc. but we wouldn’t have the interactions with other people that we will want sometimes.

We do not want to be in huge crowds with huge lines and waits to frustrate us, this would defeat the purpose of spending so much in our eyes.

All inclusive sounds amazing because I do not want to be worrying about tips, added costs, planning stuff, etc. but, we are not sun worshippers or beach goers and not huge fans of swimming activities. So, looking at all inclusive places sure checks a lot of boxes, but I feel like we’d be bored out of our minds by the third day. We need things to do and see that do not revolve around water and sun.

Child free is key, do not want a bunch of kids wherever we go.

Any suggestions to point me in the right direction? I’ve read about a hundred posts on here and have scoured the internet for the past few weeks and nothing is screaming out at me.

Recently started looking at European cruises, the high end ones such as Regent Seven Seas certainly checks nearly all of my requirements, but my fear is we’d be traveling with a whole bunch of folks way older than us and it wouldn’t fit with our personality. We are night owls, we do not want to be in bed before midnight and we definitely do not want to be up and moving at the crack of dawn. This one in particular had me drooling until I found a Reddit post telling a 55 year old they’d be the youngest person there and everything is quiet by 9pm: https://www.rssc.com/cruises/NAV241115/summary

Is there anything like this for a younger crowd?? Does not have to be a cruise.

I used teledoc because my primary doc is on vacation. I had to listen to this “doctor” sitting in his kitchen, while his wife was banging around pots and pans in the background, go on a 5 minute rant against pax and how it’s useless and won’t help me and side effects and blah blah blah. I interrupted him and said I’d rather risk the side effects and I still want it, he chastised me and said he would keep going to make sure I was making an informed decision. When he was finally done, I said okay but is it going to hurt me to try it? “You might get diarrhea” OKAY THEN, I’ll take it. He said “well you qualify, so I cannot say no, but it might cost you $1300, and I wouldn’t get it if they gave it to me for free” at that point I just asked if he’d send it in as I was done with his conspiracy rant.

Second time I’ve used teledoc and gotten a complete lunatic. They’ve really gone downhill.

Anyhow, I got it. Free, I might add.

So did he say then that he doesn’t think that it will be a factor for where this storm goes?

Roof tarps everywhere still, even a soaker will be terrible for this area.

Does anyone know the timing of the cold front that may steer this thing?

Thank you, I was looking at the wrong run, not enough coffee yet

I’m sorry but I just watched icon and I see it far far south, where are you seeing icon hit the big bend??

The second photo is someone being snarky not same poster.

The second post is making fun of the first.

The second photo is someone else mocking the Karen.

Have searched high and low to no avail but I’d love to watch it again, it was great!!

[TOMT] [movie] [2000s] foreign language apocalypseSolved

It was a foreign language film, not Korean, some kind of apocalypse where people could no longer go outside. Maybe they were in apartments? The main characters end up having a kid together and fast forward to when the kid is like 10 and the kid CAN go outside and a group of other kids show up and the kid leaves with them while the parents have to stay inside. Watched it a few years ago, definitely not any older than 10-15 years.

And the responding homeowner replied to every one of those to say NO!! she’s not joking. She’s awful .

Almost half of them were “are you joking!?? This has to be a joke”

Wow. I’ll head to confession stat. 🙄

I’m going to reach out to her and arrange this.
