I’m guessing this isn’t the case but I have an LG dryer that told me the same. Disconnected everything and observed the duct and did not see any build up. Turns out that the aluminum accordion connection from dryer to duct was smashed in on itself as I tried to maximize the space of my stacked washer dryer into the closet set up that I have. I ended up purchasing a space saving dryer duct to replace aluminum accordion. I then found a high powered magnetic connection to make connection to space saving duct to existing house duct and it solved the problem. Let me know if you want me to send you any links to the space saving duct and or magnetic coupler. It was quite the learning experience for me
