Hi, I was curious about something. I was going to buy a car, and found myself getting declined by banks and Credit Unions. I am 19 but have been an authorized user of my parents credit cards for a while plus my own credit card. My credit score is 720 according to experian which is good however, the reason the banks decline me is because of #1 Limited Credit History, which I understand, i’m 19. #2 Limited Lines of Credit. So I have been applying for more credit cards and they all have been declining me. How am I supposed to increase my lines of credit when I can’t get any credit cards? The only loans that are available for me is from westlake financial but it’s 14.39% interest. Should I just do it and hope that eventually I’ll be able to refinance? Technically it is a line of credit and I need to buy a car anyways?

I’m in college rn, I have the ability to take a year and 6mo off and still continue where I left off. Life isn’t rlly going great rn and I can’t afford to continue taking classes currently. Jobs in my area don’t seem to be hiring, and the ones that are either don’t pay much more than $10/hr which doesn’t cover classes or require me to be 21 years old. Suffice to say, my search for a job that can put me through college isn’t going well.

I kinda just want to hop in my car and just drive. I don’t have much tying me down, my parents are retiring and when they do they’re selling the house and I don’t really have that many friends anyways. If I could just leave and reconvene later, give myself time to just think, clear my mind, see the beauty God put in this country and come back when i’m at an age that people are willing to hire me that would be amazing. I don’t have much reason not to, I don’t have a house, furniture I own, kids or anything keeping me here and i’m at the prime age for my health.

Has anyone done this before? Is there such things as working on the road? Small day jobs to earn me money to pay for gas, park entrance fees, maybe food and drink or other? I just wanna go, push out of my comfort zones and push out of my parents arms and be independent. Idk. Thoughts?

Hello, something I’ve been wondering is the possibility of integrating a PC into a canbus system of a car to allow the addition of features. On tiktok and youtube there is this british man that integrates a PC into the canbus system of his older Mercedes so he can have a computer in his car while obtaining OEM functions of the original headunit and better control of sound quality for speakers. In my case, this would be cool since it would allow me to have custom built on-screen controls for various aftermarket controllers for items such as aftermarket heated seats, aftermarket massagers, 360 cameras, ambient lighting, electric windup shades, rear entertainment, enhanced sound system etc… Otherwise, each of these systems will have separate remotes scattered everywhere and it would be a nightmare to control easily/pair it up & figure out where to wire everything so it controls what when.

I guess i’m more asking not whether it’s possible but rather what issues you think will pop up/who would be knowledgeable in these types of things? (Computer science majors, computer repair shops, West coast customs type places, etc…)

My car was infested with rats and the hvac has rat crap and smells horrible. I’m afriad to put it back in my car because I don’t want to breathe in rat crap and urine with the a/c or heat. Where can I take it to be decontaminated! Thanks!

I had my car towed to a shop to program keys. Once they did that, they told me that there was an issue with the fuel system.

Apparently, the jdm engine replacement doesn’t have a fuel return line, or it does and my car doesn’t, so I have to have a line fabricated.

They said that the car starts and runs but I shouldn’t drive it like this longterm or it’ll damage something. They said that a temporary fix would be to block the fuel return line.

I’m hoping someone here knows what i’m talking about, i’m just struggling to understand what this means, so I’m unsure of how to proceed. I’m just lost. Thanks ahead of time to all who help!
