Someone gave me a 12 inch Lodge pan, (Looks like a pizza skillet). Want to try making a pizza with it on my kettle. Should I preheat the pan or build the pizza then put it on cold?
Starting point for a awesome smoker!
Put in a bar. Need something to do while doing laundry!
They make great drop biscuits. Meal size. Preheat the irons in the oven or on the grill to 450 degrees. Take them out when oven is at temp and spray or butter the iron. Fill 3/4 full with your biscuit batter and return them to the oven for about 19 minutes. Cover them with butter and maple syrup or marmalade. Yum!
Who thought that was a good idea? Is it considered edible?
My opinion: the deluxe blocks the ash fall into the ash catch during long cooks. In essence the deluxe plugs up with ash. I bought the deluxe and ended up cutting the bottom out. Works far better for me.
That a Lodge 17 in that pile?
Late to the party but did someone barf?
Okay. Ribs were smoked as described. The mayo binder worked fine. Actually, after the cook you couldn't tell by sight or by taste that it had ever been there. Seasoning was pretty good. Will use a different one next time. Couldn't post a picture cause they were just bones by the time I got free to get one. Thanks to all for advice and comments.
Get a Kettle if you have the time for coal cooking. The flavor and versatility are worth it.. For regulating your temps, check out the Spider Grills air flow controller. Made for the Weber 22. Works awesome
I believe "double" could be an understatement.
Don't know if the rub will be right. IM used to using a paprika based rub.
Has anyone used Rib Rack pork rub on their baby backs? I used a mayo binder with the rub and fridged them overnight. Having second thoughts.
Second thoughts.
Moving from California to a place with harsh winters. What do I need?
