The original bolts are long gone. Wanted to go back to OEM with the larger captured washer.
When I say bare frame I mean just nothing on it. I bought a Marin Pine Mountain steel MTB frame from a local guy, and then built it up with all the parts. All in it cost me $1,500 in 2017.
Eye of the beholder I guess. CX50 to me is one of the best looking SUV’s on the market today.
Built my ebike from a bare MTB frame. Couldn’t be happier, over 10K miles on it currently.
Wasn’t hard at all. I had to get the 1.5” hoses also, and some adapters. I can make a post later today with pics of the setup.
Oh haha 2024 RAV4 here. Hybrid XLE. Other trim levels have memory seats, but for some reason I thought ours would have it.
Use this packing method, and never have to check bags again. I started packing this way a decade ago or so. Absolute game changer. Haven’t used checked bags since then, not once for any trip, flying or road trip or anything else.
I was disappointed that our new vehicle doesn’t have memory buttons. I put small labels on the side of the seat trim to show where it goes for me and my wife.
We’ve had a 2014 CX5 since 2016. Got it with 55k miles and it’s now closing in on 150k miles. It’s been a pretty good car for us for 8 years, but my recent used oil lab reports have started showing some coolant present in the oil. City fuel economy is also just bad, in my opinion, at barely 24-25. The last straw was a few weeks ago on a 300 mile highway trip, it barely got 26 mpg. We went the next day and looked at a new 2024 RAV4 hybrid, and finally got it last week. After 1 week we’re already at 41+ mpg average!
Look on the label, when was it manufactured? I have a 7.5 like this but it’s like 8-9 years old. I’m planning to send it out to have it refurbished if I ever get off my ass and get it done.
Oh hell no is it really?? Shit I thought that was a mid drive with IGH out back. I was going to say that it looked like a real nice setup. But maybe not.
Ditto this. I would be in the lane on 109th, in the lane at the light, and on green just go straight across. Easy peasy, no issues. If I get there on a red light and I’m first in line, I wait near the left side of the straight lane at the stop bar, so that other motorists can still turn right on red behind me.
2 for us just last week.
Something doesn’t look right about it. Like maybe it’s upside down or hooked up wrong or something. One of those pipes carries coolant, and the other one is the valve cover breather to the intake tube.
Nah the filter won’t get stuff off the bottom by itself. We have ours combined with the bucket style skimmer and it does a great job keeping the surface clean. But I still have to vacuum the bottom. Looking at getting a cordless battery powered pool vac soon because I’m tired of using a pool hose to siphon water out just to clean it.
Upgrade to an Intex sand filter with 50 pounds of filter sand for around 200 bucks and never buy another filter again. Best thing we did for our 12’ pool 2 summers ago.
Double DIN screen head units don’t work so great in these cars since they’re down so low. I use a single DIN Pioneer BT unit which connects to my phone, with a ProClip mount to hold the phone up near eye level between the center vents. It’s a much better solution. Plus with single DIN units you’ll still have a knob for volume, which is rare on the double DIN screen units.
Ugh fuck this. I actually put in the order last Friday. Shipped Monday and arrived in memphis on Tuesday. Times like this I wish I could just pick it up at the FedEx world headquarters hub. I can see the planes coming in to land from my back door right now.
Absolutely insane. I just bought new PowerStop front rotor blanks and z17 pads for $100 total before tax. New OEM pads and resurfacing rotors should be like $200 max with labor.
I’m confused, what is the picture showing? Looks normal to me?
I prefer modified cars. Mild drop and other suspension upgrades. Usually keep engines stock, though. I don’t get the obsession with keeping older cars stock. I have an old Integra GSR with some light suspension modifications. I could put it back to stock, but why would I? I enjoy it the way it is.
Haha nice, I vaguely remember getting that one. Mine turned 377,777 last year.
Just a few minutes to swap bulbs. They’re pretty easy to access. Rear bulbs are 2 screws under a cover to remove the tail light housing from the car, then swap the bulbs.
