I'm looking at it more for range and power against the Oklahoma wind we got here. The few reviews seem decent enough. Posting it here for maybe a bit more insight. I'm currently using a Jasion EB5 so I'm hoping this is a decent upgrade. I ride in the city so off-road don't matter much to me at the moment.
I really like how it looks. Altho I don't really want fat tires lol
I'm still shopping around. Debating if I wanna build my own like I usually do with the gas bikes.
Built my ebike from a bare MTB frame. Couldn’t be happier, over 10K miles on it currently.
I got a cart together just to see the cost difference. It's about half price. I'm just trying to figure out if everything would be compatible with each other.
I ain't going as far as a bare frame but just like the gas bikes I've built, I'm staying away from aluminum. I've had multiple aluminum frames simply break. Lesson learned many yrs ago.
When I say bare frame I mean just nothing on it. I bought a Marin Pine Mountain steel MTB frame from a local guy, and then built it up with all the parts. All in it cost me $1,500 in 2017.
Not much more then what I'm spending on this build. Once I get the battery I'll be up to $1200. But with building it myself I'll be able to swap parts out much easier.
