The problem really shines in 4th->3rd down shifting (even with rev matching) in my experience.

my 2023 with 3k miles is currently at the dealer getting a new MT trans due to the same 3rd gear synchro failures. Mine was also similar where the problem hid itself until the trans warmed up.

Dealer didnt give me any stink after test driving the car and will be swapping the trans without question.

came across this thread just now after researching why my 2023 ND2 MT trans is failing street driving only with some canyons.

3k miles, stock power, brand new still under warranty and I lost my 3rd gear synchros.

Stock power will nuke these trans.

Mine came off with some pressure washing while cold

I got the 2TB micro center one for $615 after tax cause it was open box + missing a charger.

in a perfect world this is true, but after that filter gets clogged up, a bypass valve will open to keep oil pressure up, effectively circulating the rest of the junk in your motor. Dirty oil is better than no oil.

In a perfect world, the filter will do its job, but not if its a dinky filter, or there's a lot of solvents and solids. The filter has its limits.

I say change it on recommended intervals but that first one is more than just peace of mind, its for the longevity of the motor.

I think this is an EXCF problem. I burnt a set of boots in a similar spot but I've got the 2019 350 excf.

I only wear riding boots now to cover my pants and prevent burning them.

Havent really touched it since I started doing software professionally. Feels bad since I'm pretty sure its gonna get taken down soon cause it doesnt meet compliance for the latest OS's but I dont even know where the key is for that project anymore. Feels bad but it was a simple tool I made to help me with my brewing hobby at the time.

They setup a track on the frozen lake to drive your cars on. Its less of a place to practice, and more of a place to track time.

> Wow. What a difference! Did using a different basket make any difference to your shots?

I noticed that I had more control over the shots with the grind setting, and that I had to grind a bit finer, which I'm assuming is because of the larger, more refined holes in the competition basket.

> Finally, any complaints or issues? And how is the build quality?

Final fit and finish is fine, no complaints really over the years. I've taken it apart at least every other month to brush it clean and wipe away any of the oils if I put darker roasts through it.

The motor is strong and keeps a constant 330 RPM while grinding. Its not the best grinder for the aficionados but it has allowed me to make nice milky espresso drinks, daily for the last 6 months, and I've bounced between pour over, french press, and cold brew with this grinder. Its not the best at any of them, but its capable with ~50g dose limit. You can kind of push that but its pretty much the limit. Its got a small footprint so I've actually taken it to travel on short road trips with my espresso machine.

No, unthreading the funnel is actually how you take the burrs out to clean it. No way to damage the grinder by going too coarse. Too fine however..... you'll be replacing something

I've had my Niche for a couple years now (early 2021). It can definitely grind coarse enough to brew french press or cold brew, but like others said, you'll need to loop over the labeled grind settings.

You will have issues with darker(oily) roasts however. The oily beans tend to stick to the funnel.

With espresso, you'll find it greatly varies on your basket. I used the included basket in my Breville Infuser and found most of my espresso grinds to be in the 18-25 range on the labeled grind settings. After I switched to an IMS competition basket, my grind size had to go down to 12-15.

Regardless, this grinder is capable as a do-all grinder.

Speak in terms of cost. In my experience, that gets the suits to listen.

How much does it cost to maintain? If you dont know the answer to this, think about everything in labor hours. How much time would it take you or another developer to add said feature that may or may not exist? How long does it take to integrate it with the other products? How much time do you spend fixing bugs instead of using existing libraries that are stable and known to work? How much would they save by adapting to new tech?

What do you gain or lose by switching platforms? Does it get the job done and better? How long would it take to switch and how much will that cost? When will the company expect to get their ROI?

You can throw some fluff in there as well about how it makes the developers lives easier and happier. Happy developers = better products/services.

sounds like you got some shmoo on the threads, a job for an old tooth brush. unscrew the grind adjustment until it comes off. use that tooth brush to clean out the threads of the body and of the cap.

If that doesnt work, try to chase your finger nail across every part of the thread to see if you can feel anything stuck that might require a harder tool like a set of glasses screwdrivers.

It depends, where are you located? I cover shipping to anywhere in the lower 48, but if you're overseas, that might cost a bit more. I just shipped to AUS and the buyer paid almost $20 USD in shipping.

Niche Zero Brush Stand

Heyo! I realize this sub is somewhat slow but figured I'd share a 3D printed design I made, and sell for these grinders. I've been using mine for 2ish years now and idk where else I'd put my brush stand otherwise.

Just have MR's squash commits into 1 merge commit if you are willing to die on this hill.

But honestly, "unprofessional", cmonman.gif. If they're getting their job done well, and on time..... why does it matter what they're doing with commit messages.

Personal dirty laundry on a ucf subreddit??? Never woulda thunk it.

Good luck with your brother tho. Sounds like a coont
