Yup, it requires just enough brainpower to stifle conversation between turns. I don’t hate the game but I totally agree with the lack of player interaction as a huge negative. My favourite games are all heavy on player interaction and negotiation. Which has come as a bit of a surprise to me because I’m generally fairly introverted.
I actually have the same opinion as you, my ranking of the 4 I’ve read so far is: Messiah, Dune, Children, God Emperor. I thought children had some cool ideas but it was much too plodding and aimless in sections.
I find the Dune novels are really unique because lots of people have a different favourite entry, there’s no widely agreed upon “best” book. For me Messiah is my favourite and God Emperor was the one I liked the least. Of the first 4, I haven’t read further than that yet.
It’s outright stated in the first 15 minutes of part 1…
If Pierre doesn’t win you can bet these morons will be back in Ottawa.
I love that this sub is shitting on Rick and Morty again. It’s an okay show but it has a fanbase worse than Snyder bros.
I like scrolling Reddit, especially in between turns in a different game!
Exactly, conservatives have never given a single shit about people dying from drug addiction. In their eyes they see addiction as a moral failing and that people who suffer and die from it get what they deserve. It’s honestly so disgusting to see the bullshit Pierre is Spewing out on this issue, and pretty much every other issue as well…
I haven’t really looked into it because honestly the arbor knots I use for that connection come on and off about as quickly as a snap. The longest part of changing my line is winding the lines on and off my line holders.
True, sometimes I forget about female characters that aren’t Sarah Connor or Ellen Ridley!
I don’t see captain America or Iron man anywhere? Not sure what Civil war they’re referring to?
The 1995 one was a bad movie, but at least it managed to be funny throughout.
Video game adaptations are such a weird thing for me. They don’t have to be as trash as they always are. For some reason they always try to cram in as much crap and member berries from the games as possible and it sucks. Like the mortal mom at movie was a great example of how a good movie was right there but they decided to make a shit one instead. The opening scene with scorpion and subzero in Japan was 10/10 and by far the best part of the whole movie. The big thing it did was be something different from the games, so often movies just offer up a worse version of the experience in the game that they explain with tons of exposition for people who haven’t played the games. We could have genuinely had an awesome origin story for those two super popular characters and appearances from other characters that would have been present at that time. Instead we got a bunch of shitty exposition dumped on the worst audience insert ever (Cole) and a series of excessive fights that managed to be worse than what you can experience in the game.
Nice, those are some good catches! Especially the blacknose dace! Also that is a great viewing tank, where’s it from?
Agreed, overall it was around a 6 out of 10 for me.
Nova Scotia, there native here along with 3 other stickleback species. I am pretty sure this one was a female, I had seen a few smaller brightly coloured ones around as well that I assumed were males. Really nice orange and blue, but so tiny haha. I think I’d need even smaller tanago hooks to catch one.
Lately I’ve been having a ton of fun with etalus, but I’ll be sticking with Ranno in R2 until the bear makes it in.
Albright knot but it’s a bit chunky. What I do is at home I’ll tie a short section of maxima leader material with a little loop on the end and I connect my tippet to it with a loop to loop connection.
This was in a pond basically in the middle of town, but I see them in little back channels along rivers too. They seem to like calm water with a lot of vegetation and cover. The fly is really just an extra challenge, bait would definitely be more effective! The only possible benefit is that the fly can survive getting picked at a bit better than bait. They have tiny mouths so even with the tanago it was tough to actually catch one.
Don’t think I’ll do a photo but I can write it out. Rod is an aventik im12 nano Tenkara rod, line was just a short section of 12lb monofilament with 6x tippet, snelled tanago hook with some tiny pieces of crystal flash and lint glued to it. I used the smallest lead free split shot I could find to give me some control. I was able to sight fish from shore but had a hard time actually catching one because they’d either go after the split shot or just nibble at the wrong part of the fly. I actually wasn’t very happy with the way I tied the ‘fly’ and it actually fell apart after I caught this one. So it is back to the drawing board a little bit to figure out something better.
Those are a terrible choice of gloves too, they would be so slippery and annoying. At least nitrile gloves would let you hold the cards.
Ass won instead, hard to compete with perfection.
Pretty sure it will just be tax breaks and relaxed environmental regulations for contractors. Which means they’ll just keep building luxury condos at pretty much the same rate as now but will make even more money doing it.
I personally think so. I’m not a huge fan of GW game design. Stargrave is a much tighter and more streamlined game that gives a comparable experience to the bloated rulesets from GW.
Is this a good necromunda alternative?
