The parking violation was issued to my friendās property I believe. My friend didnāt go into much detail on it but just told me to be careful. The neighborās car was from out of state and was waiting on new plates.
That is what I am worried about but I have cameras running so shouldnāt be an issue to prove that it is parked on private property.
Yeah, that is what Iām thinking too but my friendās story got me a little worried.

So Iām going to be renting out one of my parking spaces to another person who currently has her vehicle suspended for about 4 month. Iām assuming it shouldnāt cause an issue but a friend of mine told me that he let one of his neighbors park an unplated car in his driveway and he received a violation for it. He is in Bayside for reference and I am in Flushing. Not sure if the rules might be different.
Anyone know if it is legal to park a car without a licensed plate on private property in Flushing?
She was actually recommended by a very good previous tenant who rented for almost 5 years. Didnāt end up being a good recommendation š.
Unfortunately, no. But she probably would have not paid for it either way. Did not want to escalate to the point where she decides to not pay rent and we probably needed to take months to evict.

The past year has been somewhat of rough year for me as a landlord. Over the 20+ years of being a landlord, we have never had a ābadā tenant until this past year.
First we had a tenant who just left the premises without notice, left behind all their stuff and never came back. I made a post on this awhile back.
And now, we had a tenant for the past 8 month who recently just moved out. This tenant was probably the worst to date. To list a few:
She blasts music on a regular basis as early as 9 am and throughout the day. I can feel all the vibrations and hear the noise through the floor despite being 2 floors above her.
She is a hoarder and often collects thrown out furniture from who knows where. These are very frequently thrown out whenever she decides she doesnāt like it anymore and my family and I have to dispose of it. There is also a lot of garbage almost everyday that we have to sort through since she always mixes recyclable trash with waste.
She is always asking to borrow tools for god knows what and my mom has been too kind to let her borrow every time. Iām honestly surprised she is returning the tools.
And now that she finally moved out, she decided to message us 7 am in the morning saying we are scamming her because she did not get the full security deposit back. We deducted unpaid electricity bills (2 months worth) from her security deposit and also gave her the copies of the bills which came directly from Conedison. I am bewildered at this point because everything is on receipt and it was made very clear that she is responsible for paying the electricity bills during her lease. I donāt know what is going through her mind. I just blocked her at this pointšµāš«
TLDR - I have never had a worse tenant until now and this will forever scar me. š©
Thatās what Iām trying to figure out š. The package is pretty big and he was just holding it and writing the pink slip instead of ringing the doorbell.
Nope, I donāt own pets.
It is a huge package so I would rather not pick it up. The post office has no parking and the street is very crowded so I would not be able drive there myself and pick up unless I want a ticket.
How do I get the extra slips? Ask the carrier or from PO?
If the USPS guy rang the doorbell even once, I would have ran pretty quickly downstair to get the package.š«¤
Hahaha, I might have wake up at 8:00 am, bring my work laptop and sit outside to wait for the package š¤£.
Does that work for international packages? I would rather them leave the package than having to go the post office to pick up.
