Goosey is her name in the vault record— according to the Overseer with one eye.

I have a similar issue-- if I know what the author looks like via a picture or other media, 9/10 that's who I'm imagining in my head as the protagonist. It doesn't matter how the author describes the character. To me, Kvothe isn't a red-haired kid-- he's a middle-aged, Rick-Rubin-looking Pat Rothfuss. Which makes it all the more awkward when he meets Felurian... 😭

Besides that, I actually prefer authors NOT to describe any of their characters too much. Give me one or two key traits about them, and let my imagination fill in the rest of the gaps.

Number 3: More people moving to the area and infrastructure isn't being built fast enough to accommodate the shifting traffic patterns-- *thousands* of people have moved to Pooler, Effingham, Richmond Hill, etc. in a relatively short amount of time. And the bulk of those people are driving in and around Savannah daily.

Imagine trying to be friends with this dude...

He's trying to rant to you about Asmon's take on games an anime, but you're too busy watching droplets of his spit land in your food to pay attention to what he's saying.

I could not care less about any content/takes that come from "Toejam and Earl".

Living under Stalin's flavor of communism already gave the Russians a head start.

Exactly, the game is literally double the price what we were paying just a few years ago. This whole thing may be an astroturf campaign to distract from the egregious price hike.

Hard to say-- my Steam says I put 180 hours into New Vegas, but I first played it on 360 so I'm not sure what the total hours are when you add them together.

I 100% Fallout 3 on 360, but only played about 15 hours of it on Steam, so it's probably a toss-up between those two games.

"Oopsi"-soft is going to have to get used to plummeting stock values. :3742:

big chain pizza place-- made like $5.15 an hour.

I mostly agree with your take-- Algren isn't the Last Samurai, he's only a witness to the demise of the last samurai and is one of the few survivors capable of telling their story.

But I can still see that if you're western-centric and you're viewing the story through a "romantic lens" that you can view Cruise as this man who fell in love with Japanese culture, saw value in bushido, and walked away from that whole experience as "The Last Samurai" because he carries it on in his heart-- or whatever. But to me, that's a stretch...

I'm pretty sure Cruise's character was based on a historical figure (Jules Brunet) who fought alongside the last samurai against the Meiji Revolution.

Honestly Japanese history, and much of Asian history for that matter, isn't taught in the US. You can dupe a lot of people with false information and flawed perspectives, and they wouldn't know any different.

Kvothe is a total Mary Sue and that's the main reason why I read the books-- because it's cringe and yet entertaining.

Asmongold makes a perfectly fine point about pro-palestine protesters needing to get out of the road and stop detroying shit. Literally not controversial at all really. Instantly aggro'd by shitters like Lazytron and ofc Hasan. They have a convo a little while later and he puts Asmon back in line.

That's cuz poo-flinging over politics is Hasan's lane-- he literally lives for that stuff, Asmon not so much.

If Asmon has a valid opinion-- like the protestors should gtfo of the road, all Hasan has to pull is a "what about 'x' video clip that shows 'y' that you didn't see?!" and then Asmon has to concede he hasn't watched the clip that Hasan is talking about and it frames Asmon as being uninformed on the matter, regardless if his opinion is valid or not.

pretty much

Everything that needed to be said and done with retro gaming was mostly done 10 years ago-- especially the NES/SMS/SNES/Genesis eras. And most people who watched that content back then have "aged out" and are too busy working their 9-5 than sit on YouTube half the day and consume more of the same stuff they watched back in college.

If you wear AirPods while listening to his videos, it’s like he’s seducing you with his sultry whispering of Fallout lore directly into your ear.

Any time she does something dumb, that’s what OP mutters under his breath

“let’s name him after my crazy brother!”

Possibly, op is named after his grandfather and the uncle is too.

About 1% of Americans are diagnosed with schizophrenia.

It's estimated that anywhere from 0.5-5% of Americans qualify for Narcissistic Personality Disorder.

2.8% of Americans have bipolar disorder, and they may feel like they could fist-fight a lion during a manic state.

16.5% of Americans have a substance-use/abuse disorder that may bring on feelings of invincibility at times...

...and whatever percentage left over is probably a bunch of dads making a bad dad joke-- which may qualify for some sort of diagnosis in future editions of the DSM.
