I've had IBS-D my entire life (over 50 years) and I used to take Imodium every day. My gastroenterologist told me to stop taking it so often and to only take it when absolutely necessary. Heart disease, GERD and various digestive issues run on both sides of my family and he was concerned about the side effects Imodium can cause. This is from the Mayo Clinic: This medicine may cause heart rhythm problems (eg, torsades de pointes, ventricular arrhythmias). Check with your doctor right away if you or your child have chest pain or discomfort, fast, slow, or irregular heartbeat, fainting, or trouble breathing. Loperamide may increase your risk for stomach or bowel problems.

I think anyone taking it should discuss the pros and cons with their specialist.

There's 13? How have I not heard of these??

OP thanks SO MUCH for this post, these suggestions from everyone are a goldmine. 👍

Haha I was going to put this so I second it! And I'll add The Reflecting Skin to the suggestions. I love disturbing movies.

Edit: forgot to add Rabid, the original version from 1977 with Marilyn Chambers. Probably not considered obscure but listing it because well...blechh! 😖 Love it.

Doesn't work for me. I've had IBS-D for over 50 years and nothing has ever worked. The only thing that does work is to not dwell on it. I get through each attack and don't think about it the rest of the time. Actually that's not 100% true, I do think about it very briefly everytime I leave the house because I make sure I've always got my trusty "IBS kit" with me and that I know where the bathrooms are wherever I'm going.

House. Also has the most episodes of any series that made me cry, love this show.

I've developed POTS after my one and only covid infection. I caught covid in 2023 in a hospital where I had no choice but to remove my mask while I was there. Currently I'm so weak and exhausted all the time that I'm unable to do anything. None of the various meds prescribed by my cardiologist are working for me and I'm really scared my life isn't going to improve. This is hard enough, but the worst was when my dad caught covid this year due to not masking He passed away from it not long ago. Anyone who tells me covid is over can jump off a steep cliff because my dad's death destroyed me. 😢

There's all kinds of places that sell them, look for "Cats Antidepressants" on sites like Redbubble, Displate etc.

I just watched the episode of Killer Cases about Amie Harwick and found it really disturbing. They kept showing her dead body (her upper body was blurred out, not that it helped). Usually nothing on crime shows bothers me but this episode got to me. They didn't need to keep showing laying on the concrete. 😣

Edit: this was on A&E Canada

I would definitely cry 😭

And yet when I go to the park every idiot there is always throwing chunks of bread to the geese and ducks. So not everyone knows that, I wish they did since bread is bad for birds. I gave up trying to tell people that a long time ago because all I got was "mind your own business, they like it."

Definitely! If you read up on any type of cloud storage it says to always back up your most important photos in 2 other places. If that seems excessive it's not. I can't begin to count how many people post about losing their photos, whether it's from Google Photos, a fried computer, a lost flash drive etc. Better to backup in too many places than nowhere.
