Of all the great dessert spots, what is the best dessert you’ve had? Whether it’s a good gelato or a chocolate dish or something else, what’s the best?
Copenhagen has amazing desserts, but what is your favorite dessert in the city?
Is there a wrong season for a strawberry cake?
A lot of good bakeries only make it when Danish strawberries are in season. They do taste better than the early Spanish ones.
Where do u but the best jordbærtærte?
The one from Lagkagehuset has a high content of cream and marzipan. It is delicious
THIS!
rhubarb and vanilla pastry at juno
Rhubarb is the absolutely best thing ever. I love rhubarb crumble cake. But if I'm really going to knock my wife's socks off, I make cold rhubarb soup with vanilla ice cream. That the #1 dessert ever and it just tastes like summer
Icecream at Ismageriet
Amagerisen is absolutely criminal. I could eat 1L of that alone
Might I also suggest, if you're an ice cream hipster like myself, visiting Isoteket.
If you're just a chocolate, strawberry and vanilla kinda ice cream eater, then Isoteket probably isn't for you. But if you like to be challenged a bit more, they make some really interesting flavour combinations.
Is it the one in Østerbro? I often work In that neighborhood, and I have seen the lines, but never went in - I will give it a try, thanks.
The one I've visited is by the Lakes and there's also one on Stefansgade now.
In Østerbro (and Frederiksberg too) there is Peter Beier which is also great. Smaller selection than Ismageriet, but in my opinion better quality.
Cardamom buns at Juno ❤️
Bertels Salon.
I second this! It's so good.
I feel like Berthel was way better when they started out.
As with most of these places. Remember Bronuts? Hype, long queues and they went bankrupt even after a danish millionaire gave the founders a couple of million to save the business. (It was shit tho)
Ooh yes, I agree on that one. I never understood the hype about bronut tbh. Shitty doughnuts with a lot of candy on the top.
This should be the top answer.
Forgotten træstammer from the bottom shelf of Netto
Yum
Leckerbaer, mini passionfruit cakes with meringue
Anything from Hart. The Cardemmon Croissant is my favourite
It’s fairly easy to make actually.
Their pain au chocolat is disappointing and expensive though
I agree.
Chocolate croissant at Amdersen&Maillard
I dream about it sometimes
A good old Othello cake from La Glace
Espresso panna cotta at Casa Madre on Tagensvej
Omg this!!!
I might be a bit boring, but fresh cold and homemade koldskål** with fresh strawberries and/or raspberries 😁 (although I can recommend Mormors koldskål from Netto if you Can get your hands on it… as they’re usually sold out in my area). - maybe an extra note: koldskål is normally enjoyed with “kammerjunker” cookies on top :)
Or fresh strawberries with cream and bit of sugar. It was a true summer treat for me when I was a child.
Buka's raspberry spandauer, Ismageriet ice-cream and Bertels Salon cheesecakes :)
Kærnemælkshorn
BingCha close to the lakes is a nice place, if you're into Asian desserts ((: https://maps.app.goo.gl/TzGKHxLayZvHD4g19
The rhubarb bun from Juno was so good. We were lucky when we ordered because it was still hot. God it is so good
The pistachio tiramisu at Rufino Osteria. Chefs around town go to the restaurant just to have this
Solbær en surprise - Palægade Resturant
Panna cotta - Ambra
The ice cream sandwich at Nicecream
Also, hindbærsnitter from any bakery ever.
Glean for flodeboller like no other. And Moo Moo Isbar for amazing ice cream.
Softice with mango sauce, almonds and terracotta chocolate powder from Softchills in Islands Brygge 🍦
Farumhus
They aren't a dessert place per say, but a bakery that makes really good cakes and also have coffee, freshly made pizza slices and sandwiches. Kind of like Lagkagehuset, just much better.
I tried La Glace, but honestly for the price I prefer Farumhus. Its similar quality, but cheaper.
The mini lemon meringue pie they have is really good. They also made a really good cheesecake for a party my mom hosted years ago.
Icecream from Ismageriet og Siciliansk Is.
Paradis go home...!
Sinne Gas (bakery) in Østerbro has amazing sweets! They have a new cookie with sesame seeeds, it is crazy good
Kartoffelkage from Johns bageri on Amager - it is absolutely perfect.
The liquorice and white chocolate or yuzu and white chocolate flødebolle at Anker Chokolade
While these are not traditional local deserts, I still have to go and try them this weekend

Lots of pints!
Cafe Kaf has wonderful pastries and cheesecakes
Classic Lemon Meringue Pies - sweet and sour, delicious!
- Eclairs from Queen's Delight
- Cheesecakes from Bartels Salon
- Any Yuzu dessert from Andersen's Bakery
- Red berries or raspberry icecream from Kødbyens Is
Gemmer lige denne, for jeg har et labrador gen når det kommer til søde sager. Så mange ting på denne liste skal prøves!
Astronaut is
Lemon gelato from Sicilian Is
Christianshavn Pie (it has a nutty-sponge base, topped with strawberry mousse and finished with fruits) from Lagkagehuset 🥰
Christianshavner Pie from Bodenhoff is much better
I need to try it then, tak 😍
If you’re into pastries, the morning bun from Batting Bakery in Ordrup is to die for.
The Eclairs from Queens Delight are amazing and come in many different flavours.
If you’re more into dessert-desserts, the Tiramisu at Trattoria Fiat at Kongens Nytorv is really good.
Blueberry pie from Lagkagehuset.
Always tiramisu.
There’s nothing better then the Mint Chocolate ice cream from REMA 1000. 750 grams for around 38kr. Preferably eaten from a porcelain plate for the best experience
American Pie - heaven
Pistachio or moccha croissant-cube at Andersen & Maillard
There's this persian restaurant at blågårdsgade that has a dessert called phaloudeh, my all time favourite, and if I wanna be extra good i have the version with safran icecream added. Just out of this world good.
Bertels salon for cheesecake
Bake my day for cupcakes
Lagkagehuset for brownie, gateau Marcel and passion fruit cake
Rajissimo and Paradis for ice cream
Buka for pistachio cream croissants
Holm for lemon/almond/nutella filled croissants
La Glace for classic layered cakes
Liquorice Creme Brülee at A hereford beefstouw 🤤
I really hate desserts. I’d rather order two starters and a main course
You should write a book about it
If the season is right, the classic mazarin strawberry pie
