To add…
An intelligent and educated (half) black man.
The people who like to champion “work hard, pull yourself up, educate and improve yourself, don’t depend on someone else to help you” sure lost their collective minds when a man of color did exactly as they say and displayed a modicum of intelligence, independent thought, and self-sufficiency.
I will use Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez as another example. She worked as a waitress and bartender to put herself through schooling. All would be lauded and praised if she was Caucasian (and blonde) and identified as a Trumplican. Instead she’s been derided for doing what she had to (the message white wingers champion) to put herself through college and law school.
Because, as most of them are actually privileged bourgeoisie pigs who've unilaterally been born into wealth and privilege, they like to cosplay strength and ethic to make themselves feel better about being weak and spineless human jellyfish
I don’t disagree.
They don’t like to be bothered with attempting to see things through the eyes or perspective of others. They think their versions of reality should be everyone’s version of reality.
“Don’t complain about me shitting on you people…just know YOUR place in the world.”
I really don’t understand Clarence Thomas AT ALL. Is there a more fitting poster example of a walking, talking, oxygen-consuming contradiction of humanity? I guess if he does what his masters pay him to do, he thinks he’ll be accepted as an equal to them or a member of their society. 🤷🏽♂️
You understand Clarence Thomas much more when you realize there were in fact black slave owners. They far and away weren't common but there will always be the type of person who will trip their friends if being chased by a bear.
I think Clarence Thomas was groomed to be the Reverse of Thurgood Marshall.
Like an internally created reverse-Flash.
Correct me if I'm wrong here, but weren't they also known to be particularly brutal in their treatment of their slaves?
I don't know about that. I can't exercise my privilege in that matter.
He will never be accepted by them. I guarantee Harlan Crow has his whole bathroom disinfected after Thomas uses it
By disinfected, do you mean demolished, the remnants hauled off, and then completely rebuilt with “virgin” materials?
Virgin materials... So... His own biomass?
And so their hero is Trump. A white guy (makeup notwithstanding) who inherited millions and whose most constant refrain is that he is due even more special privilege.
Hard times create strong men, and most of these people, Trumpydump above all, have had the easiest time of anyone.
I feel better knowing that at the end of this all, when the first settles (knowing that it's going to settle on the bones of a lot of good people) Trump and his coward pose will be endlessly clowned on for the rest of history alongside Hitler and Napoleon.
Why did you drop out the relevant part of the quote?
Strong men create good times. (Like say the kind of times that can support New York penthouses, golf, gold plated everything...) Good times create weak men. Weak men create hard times.
Because it goes without saying I think, even if a person doesn't know the whole quote. The rest is implied.
So true. Born on third base and celebrating their magnificent home run.
And Mommy and Daddy got there by sedan chair.
Ehhh, disagree. A lot of these people are straight up poor and are using their bigotry to feel better about themselves. I see it all the time here in Iowa, they’re living in a trailer park but at least they’re better than those damn (insert group of choice here).
A lot of them are uneducated but the vast majority of them are wealthy middle class whites. I see Trump flags on a few rotten trailers but far moreso on flagpoles jutting from pristine lawns in front of expensive 100 year old houses
That’s probably just your area, because it’s the straight inverse here.
you can convince the lowest white man he's better than the best colored man, he won't notice you're picking his pocket. Hell, give him somebody to look down on, and he'll empty his pockets for you. Lyndon B. Johnson
Because they can't believe any one like that could ever overcome non-whiteness.
We're talking about people who believe the most incompetent, uneducated, actually cognitively challenged, credentialless, drooling, genetic null achievement of a white person, in particular male -- basically your average candidate for beholdthemasterrace is somehow more qualified by dint of their phenotype than the most qualified woman and/or non-white in the land.
In their minds, the only way someone like Obama or AOC could achieve anything other than a dirty, servile, often dangerous or demeaning job is through affirmative action and DEI. And because of that, if they are any more than a sanitation worker, the help, or a server, they "stole" that job. And all the education up to that point? "Stolen" from someone more "deserving" (read: white)
I have this asshole (white) male co-worker who is a Trumper, cannot stand this piece of shit. He loves to bring up politics and talks so much shit about AOC, but then talks about how "hot" she is and how he'd definitely "hate fuck her" given the chance. I fucking hate these pieces of sub-human garbage. And before anyone asks/in case anyone is interested, he has been reported to HR multiple times (by multiple people including me) and not a damn thing has happened to him, as he's part of the "good ol' boys club". I am a liberal 40's white woman living in a conservative state and I am terrified for my children, especially my girls.
I, too, live in a very conservative region, and it has become more and more difficult to keep my head right in the face of such mass ignorance. The scariest part, though, is that this is exactly how Hitler came to power. The exact playbook.
“Pull yourself up by your bootstraps!”
“Not like that!!!!”
What a joke. If the playing field were remotely even most of those men wouldn't be where they are. Good ole boys are good for nothing but idiot promoting
No challenge to calling out AOC. Add Neil deGrasse Tyson.
Yeah, this is it. If you weren't around or were too young to see it happening, they lost their minds. They absolutely lost their minds.
Shit, the whole birther nonsense that was Trump’s foray into conservative politics was born from people trying to find a reason to say he couldn’t be President.
I grew up in a conservative family and it was a minefield
The entire republican party went mask-off and turned into that famous woman from the picture where a white mob gathered to scream profanities at the first black girl to go to a desegregated school.
https://meetmythamerica.wordpress.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/08/eckfordlr1957.jpg
Fuck all republicans. They don’t deserve air. I’ve eliminated all republicans from my life family or friends…they are sleep walking into fascism and are too asleep and selfish to see it. Wait until they lose their social security and Medicare.
And you can actually see the moment that it all broke Trump and this the party. The White House House Correspondents Dinner. April 30, 2011. Obama roasts Trump. You can see Trump spinning his wheels on revenge as he sits there.
The Onion had my favorite take on this, prophetically, back in 2012:
After Obama Victory, Shrieking White-Hot Sphere Of Pure Rage Early GOP Front-Runner For 2016
They weren’t far off.
Not even that.
A mixed race man and fairly light-skinned with it.
Can't imagine the meltdown if it had been an African American who's family was black going back as far as records could trace and who was on the darker end of the skin tone spectrum.
...can u imagine a Charlie Murphy (r.i.p.) type POTUS..in look and attitude....but Obama's style...😭😭
President Jasmine Crockett would see a few self imolations in protest.
No; it just made every liberal and centrist finally aware of the rot that's been allowed to live in this country since December 24th, 1865. Make no mistake, America has never been pro-black. We privileged few were just told that to placate us.
Never underestimate the power of racism
While they did absolutely lose their minds it's disingenuous to blame the current political crisis on Obama when a well executed 50 year plan conservatives have been inching ever forward towards is all but here.
Not trying to blame Obama, but he was quite aware of the conservative play book and made no defensive plays while having a majority in both chambers of Congress. Maybe he isn't complicit, but I can't help but think he could have done more. I'll take my down votes now.
From what I understood Obama could have rammed some of the "liberal agenda" of more education and free or close to free healthcare down their throats. I don't understand the When they go low we go high mentality when we hardly ever were in a position of power to do anything to promote the middle-class and the poor in society. Government is supposed to help the governed. Or so they said in my poly sci classes.
Who’s blaming Obama?
I am blaming Obama.
If he didn’t make fun of thin-skinned Donny TheBitch Trump at that Presidential roast, maybe Trumpalumpa wouldn’t have engaged in this decade+ long tirade of retribution for a black man…gasp (and clutching pearls)…making fun of his conspiracy theories.
/s
I mean, what's next, a gay POTUS?
/s obviously.
No, this was in the works for years.
The erosion of democracy allowing for a right wing solidification of power has been the plan since Regan.
And then that same guy had a supermajority in congress and didn't expand the supreme court, didn't expand voting, and now here we are about to lose those things.
To be fair to him, he begged RBG to retire and she refused.
Just because there were enough dems in the senate doesn't mean they were all on board with radical change. Plenty of "blue dog"/ "moderate" types in that group. They would've been aghast at the prospect of expanding the court in that time period, there wasn't enough backing in general for something like that.
didn't expand voting
What do you mean?
Also, a lot of the current voting issues are more state level issues, there's not a lot the federal gov can do
This goes back much farther than Obama. After the failed business plot in the 1930s, the southern strategy, Nixon, and cemented by Reagan, there is a straight line from there to today. All the racism and culture war stuff is divide and conquer while the capitalist elite move us back to lords and peasants.
Best comment on in here and 100% correct.
(I learned of all this from the Behind the Bastards podcasts)
Sherman didn't march hard or far enough.
Should have burnt the whole mf'er down, confiscated lands and money, and imprisoned the slavers.
100% this. Reconstruction was a disaster.
Add the evangelical Christian rights push for Nixon and Reagan with the funds to push them. But yes 10000% correct.
There is a parallel line of democrats watching all of that happen and doing nothing to stop it.
Yup. That’s the game. Many Dems take the same money as Republicans. Both work for the capitalist class. It’s the Dems job to diffuse and pacify any possibly revolt while the other side dismantled everything we fought for. It’s all empty promises and every election is “we gotta stop the other side first then next time we can change things”…. FDR’s new deal wasn’t a gift to workers, it was to save capitalism as we had a strong left getting ready to rise in the 1930s. New deal was a concession by the rich to prevent revolt. Rights are fought for not voted for.
It's not that simple and not everything is a damn conspiracy. There is no grand machination behind the scenes like that. Because there doesn't have to be. The right has been straight up fucking telling everyone who would listen every horrible thing they want to do for 30-40 years. They have public conventions where they discuss strategy. This isn't cloak and dagger behind closed doors. That would be giving the American electorate more credit than we frankly deserve right now. It's been done in the blinding light of day this whole time. The Republicans are better at strategy, messaging, and showing a unified front simply because they are smaller. For all their talk of the Big Ole Tent, it ain't. The Democrats are the more varied party with largely unstable and ineffective leadership. The progressive wing is essentially a completely different party ideologically. They don't caucus together and they can't agree on much. The Democrats are a mixture of incompetent, complicit, out of touch, and otherwise inadequate to the task of fighting for our freedoms. Don't excuse their failure by making them part of the machine. They weren't and aren't.
The greatest democracy the world has ever seen does NOT have an electoral college.
NO racist addition to democracy will EVER be the ‘greatest’
I know some countries tell themselves they are the greatest but if you have an electoral college you aren’t top ten.
The greatest democracy the world has ever seen does NOT have an electoral college.
Also doesn't have elections based on who can get the most money behind them.
Just a thought
Incidentally I believe the US is currently ranked as a flawed democracy and has been for quite some time. I wonder might there be some relation between those facts?
Also doesn't make corporations tantamount to an individual person.
Citizens United was absolutely a response to Obama’s election. Once Obama set records for small-money donors, Roberts saw the writing on the wall.
Facts
That's a solid point. Totally agree.
Democracies tend to have more than two parties.
You're one party off being a one party government.
The Dutch parliament has 15 parties sitting presently for comparison.
The issues are deeply rooted in the constitution. It's very flawed and even the founders thought it shouldnt be long term, they assumed it would be fundamentally changed every few decades at least to address systemic issues.
The usa used to have more parties competing for power but the way states pick electors and the first past the post system kinda fucked things up over time and it naturally devolved to the current binary system
Its sort of a catch 22 at this point, the minimum needed for real change is some amendments, but extreme polarization and gridlock prevents any amendments from passing
It is not really a democracy, 2 parties, both very right wing compared to actual democracies, and as you said the electoral college, but still better than the beging of the us, that was a 1 party system.
And superior to the guaranteed self destructive swill that a bunch of short sighted lunatics aiding a narcicist are trying to sell.
By what metric is another democracy better than the USA?
Just take a look at the participation rate of those that vote in the US, compare that to a place like Australia. Compulsory voting would change a lot in this country. There is a concerted effort to purge voters in this country. That's not a democracy.
Ok so by what metric is Australia a better democracy? By turnout?
Australia doesn't actively prevent their citizens from voting, regardless of race, education, wealth, or party affiliation. Automatic registration at 18 and they make sure every citizen's voice is heard. That's a democracy, not what America does. Full participation is such a foreign concept to us that we think it's meaningless.
Registration isn’t automatic, you have to enrol. They have an idea where you are through data matching and Census records and will ask you to enrol, but that’s the little loophole for not voting in Australia. Most of us consider it a national duty and it’s on a Saturday and fucking easy to do so while there’s a few off the roll, we get very high turnout numbers. There is also the democracy sausage which makes the day that little bit better. I find the democracy sausage to be better than the Hammerbarn snag as well, generally.
Thank you for the clarification! I wish we had that democracy sausage.
Yeah last one I had downtown wasn’t bad. I have a school just down the road which is a polling booth but it never has a sizzle so I go into town to vote and get the sausage.
Couple of the ones I’ve had at Bunnings were shit.
Seems kinda tone deaf given the ongoing treatment of aboriginals who only got the right to vote at all in the 60s
My pint stands l will let you do your research.
I don't know why you think your point was relevant
We have a far greater range of choice that can affect policy. At this time for example, the current government holds power through a shared arrangement with several ‘teal’ independents and the Australian Greens, who they need to pass crucial policy through both houses. That means negotiation with those minors, which often (not always, but usually) results in better policy outcomes. Such as a recent housing fund policy where minor parties were able to negotiate a $2b direct boost in the funding.
Your electoral funding system is flawed. We fund through the Australian Electoral Commission which does not influence the vote based on party size, you have PACS that influence the vote, inviting corruption. Our corruption problems exist, but they aren’t in the vote or electoral process, they are within lobbying groups that influence elected politicians.
You have a very biased Electoral College system which places significant advantage to places with little vote count at the cost of places with a significant count. This has handed presidencies to the conservative side a couple of times now, against popular vote numbers.
If we vote properly our choices really matter. You have nowhere near that power with your vote, in terms of choice for someone you want. You can do something about that in primaries to an extent but that requires effort that the general US voter would rather not go to.
Then we get to the administrative and judicial systems themselves and the flaws there are now laid bare; no term limits on Senators and the same plus more for SC judges. So poor or unlimited oversight, whatever the flavour of the month is, and no safeguards for two crucial areas of administration.
Ok, I think you'd have a better point if the countries were not very similar. Like great, you all vote all the time and they count way more, how's housing prices? How's the coal companies influence on government? How's defense spending? How's your treatment of natives or minorities?
How many more times to vote before your cost of living declines?
housing prices
Are shit everywhere. That said, we have reasonably strong safety nets in that regard, the states are working hard to fix it as housing is a state remit in Australia and in no way is our situation, especially safety net, as bad as the US.
coal companies influence on government
Is pretty bad, like the rest of lobbying. That said, Queenslands Labor government recently opposed a royalty increase that’s help deliver a 12 billion surplus. Here is a Guardian article suggesting NSW do the same.
defense spending
Since we signed into AUKUS, or for some have been trapped onto it, we’ve had the broke Poms hit us up for a down payment on some subs. I guess the healthy democracy is giving us enough money for this as well.
natives or minorities
Embarrassing after the Voice referendum, but that in itself proves how robust the democracy is.
The fact remains most parliamentary systems and definitely Australia’s is far healthier than the US. I think if you do a poke around those who hold political science degrees might agree with that view. The US is currently categorised as a ‘flawed democracy’. This index tracks with the view that Australia as well as Canada have a more stable democracy than the US.
Though simple general observation proves this. Despite Australia having some of the problems you’ve raised its democracy is not under threat of breakdown from within and our safeguards are more rigid than the US. That’s clearly apparent.
Okay… list the top 10 please.
https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Economist_Democracy_Index
You literally could have found that in the same time as writing this comment and could have saved you that embarrassment
Which one of those dark blue countries doesn’t have “racist addition”
Also, I’d argue that “greatest” wasn’t describing the “democraticness” of the democracy itself, but rather the country as a whole that is classified as a democracy.
But I get it. America bad. Don’t need to discuss how other countries also are deeply flawed. This is Reddit. It’s American centric. Everything is about America, and America is bad.
You can but then you argue in bad faith. It is clearly worded that they mean it's the greatest democracy. If they meant the greatest country they would have said so.
No you don't get it apparently. Of course you can discuss how other countries have flaws. This is just strawman argument to deflect from you earlier comment
What do you mean with "racist addiction"?
It’s “racist addition” and I don’t know what it means, but according to the person I was responding to says that the greatest democracy will never have it.
I’m assuming it has something to do with racist politics, and I’d be surprised if you can find any country that doesn’t have those somewhere in their history.
So can you explain why it's fair for super populated areas to have all the power over the rural areas? The rural people wouldn't be represented and you won't adress that.
Why is it fair for rural areas to have power over populated areas? Why is the vote of someone in a rural area worth more for president than someone else? The Senate exists so every state has equal representation, after all, plus state governments have their own rights and abilities. But for the leader of the nation as a whole, there shouldn’t be the current disparity in voting power. Not to mention that it also actively disenfranchises rural areas within states with urban populaces. With the most common electoral college method, the votes of right wing people in California are worthless unless they turn the state red (unlikely).
Oh, you’re one of those, “Your vote should be worth more if you live in the woods” type of people.
Look at it another way, let's take it to the extreme the other way. Let's say everyone in America moves out of their state to just live in California and New York, save for 2 people remaining in every other state. With the current senate rules, every state gets two senators no matter what.
So now you have 96 people living in fourty eight states having 96 senators, and 341,828,393 people living in two states having 4 senators. Is that fair representation in your view?
Yeah....Obama broke them. Their bigotry could not take it.
Please; they've been working on this since Obama was in his 20s. Trump being elected did do one thing though; he gave them an excuse to no longer have to act like civilized humans.
“gave them an excuse to no longer act like civilized humans” —— you nailed it.
I mean, of course. Many of these people were in nail-biting capitulation with civil behavior, going along because it was what was acceptable. Now that they can dispute that they have turned course to begin acting like savages. It's mental
"The greatest democracy the world has ever seen" - that kind of bullshit is where this all started.
Was it the greatest democracy?
A fantasy force-fed to patriots by a country that seems scarily gung-ho about carpet bombing actual democracies
This statement is deliciously accurate
Definitely not the greatest democracy ever seen but ok.
There’s a provable bias in average among trump supporters against black people.
It’s been shown that trump supporters are less likely to support certain social assistance programs, specifically when descriptions of those programs are presented alongside a picture of a black person rather than alongside a white person:
Not every Republican is a white supremacist, but every white supremacist is a Republican - and they've had more than enough time to purge the rot from their party if it were an issue for them.
At this point, every Republican is a white supremacist.
We are not the greatest democracy the world has ever seen. Not even close. This shit ended with the Reagan administration and before even that we were a nation of colonizers, imperialists, coup supporters, warmongers, and exploitationists who's citizens were not allowed to know what our country was up to in other nations as often as we were force fed rabid patriotism and American exceptionalism. We have hardly even had as many rights as European countries. People have to start waking up to the reality that everything that's happening is just the metamorphosis of the way our country has always been. America has never been the good guys, even in our own borders, no matter what we've been told to remember at gun point.
Ended decades before Reagan, if it was even close to true at all
It could have been a great, but Reagan definitely killed that.
Nevertheless, Nixon one hundred percent held the hair.
Yeah, I mean realistically since it's independence you can see every era of united states crushing democracy and freedom everywhere it touches. The occasional lull happens, but in the end it's hardly ever been a democracy let alone the greatest
Happy fucking 4th of July 🎉🎉🎉🇺🇲🎇🎆✈️🌎🔫🥩🇺🇲🇺🇲🇺🇲🇺🇲🇺🇲🥧🪖🎖️🇺🇲🇺🇲🇺🇲🇺🇲🇺🇲🇺🇲🎆🎆🎇🎆
Lol awesome
Tbf that black dude did wear a tan suit one time so he started it
And he made fun of wittle Trumpy.
I would kill for an Obama trump debate. Obama was a great foil to trump. He was able to be so smooth while clowning on him.
I'd pay to watch that debate, but how would someone so eloquent, educated, and well spoken even begin to craft a response to the blathering, mindless drivel that spews forth from the gaping maw of an overripe carrot?
I would rather see a trump Colbert or Kimmel or even Stewart debate. Anyone of the left leaning talk show guys would do it at this point. Trump's debating style calls for biting comedy on the opposing end. One liners per lie. But trump would still be outgunned intelligence wise
It was that fancy mustard.
Greatest democracy the world has ever seen… lol. Most democracy indexes don't even consider the US a full democracy not even at its prime. This is some North Korean level of brainwashing.
Greatest Democracy LOL. Only an American would say such a stupid thing. I would argue they don't even have the greatest Democracy in the American Continent
"Great" can mean a lot of things. One of those can be "powerful, militarily."
Don't forget that black man made fun of the TV game show Host once at a dinner party.
No. It wasnt the whole party. Donald Trump specifically only ran for president because Obama made a light hearted joke about him in front of all his rich buddies and he made it his life goal to "bring him down." He was still a Democrat then. Did we forget about this already? It's on video and is why he got rid of all of Obama's policies.
Trump still to this day send pictures of his hands holding small objects to the guy that made the small hands joke. I wish I was making that up. Feel free to Google it. What's even better is the joke wasn't even about his hands being small, it was because he's cheap. "He has deep pockets and small hands." And Dipshit Trump is such a child all he could focus on was the hands and not the meaning.
There were still plenty of moderate Republicans before this. He single handedly did this. I still don't know how. But sure he's the noble, honorable, respectable man to lead the country even after the whole UN laughed in his face because they didn't respect him.
I'm just giving up at this point. I truly believe the only way we don't have a legit civil war is if he gets full blown dementia. If he dies, they'll call it murder. If he loses, they'll do the same thing as last time only now there will be more of them and more willing to be violent because we didn't do anything last time.
We are fucked
100% agree. For me Obama’s presidency was a flash point that our country had finally achieved parity and equality among the races. Not so fast. The redneck latency in our country was awakened and the flames fanned by the orange devil. We have a chance to get rid of the impostor and many of his enablers in November. Hopefully enough people in the necessary districts will vote blue and put an end to this madness.
Can't wait to see the look on MAGA faces when one of the first things Trump does is get rid of 2A and take back the guns. No real dictatorship allows the serfs and peasants to be armed to the teeth.
"We're going to take the firearms first and then go to court." -Donald J. Trump.
He will never do that. Not even Hitler did that. But he did - and he will - make it illegal for those who are scheduled for internment camps.
Arming the germ...I mean, Patriomericans to deliver those prisoners is only step 7 out of 8.
Maybe then he'll get rid of it for everyone.
It's not over yet. Hold your nose and vote Blue down the ticket.
But.... My moral high ground 😭
Gotta add, the “greatest democracy ever seen” started out with chattel slavery based on skin color and the genocide of the indigenous people living on the continent. The US has broken treaties, abandoned allies, and toppled democratically elected governments to install dictators to appease fruit companies.
We haven’t ever been that great, tbh.
Yeah I’m just gonna say it, we were never the greatest democracy in the world. Ever. Ever, ever, ever.
We were one of the greatest nations for a long time though. Not during my lifetime mind you.
Not even close to a good democracy. Good democracies use the popular vote
Consider Trump's initial 'claim to fame' on the national political stage - birtherism. This is a foundational element of fascism, which is the "othering" of people. They, who are "poisoning the blood of our country" are the "other". Other than "us".
Trump is symptom - he's not just the malevolent wannabe dictator, but he's symbolic of that which is part of our country's consciousness, and he's made the darkness that has always been there manifest. Personally, I think we are in deep shit. He's using the same language as Hitler did in the late 20's and 30's. Those who want to seize power and control are using him to gain control over the levers of power. The elites in Germany thought Hitler was a clown, too. They thought they could control him. Then he steadily replaced all who opposed him in government. It became "treason" to oppose him - a word Trump has used against Liz Cheney, Mark Milley, and a host of others. He's even called the press "treasonous."
And yes - all because a man of color made one political party lose their minds.
Vote like your fucking life depends on it. Cuz it really just might.
The elites in Germany thought Hitler was a clown, too. They thought they could control him.
exactly. I remember a snippet from some WW2 documentary - "they thought Hitler could be tamed".
The rest of the world needs to build a wall
America will pay for it
That's exactly right.
These fucks saw their power dwindling and realized that the only way they can win is by cheating - and by fucking everyone else.
When White Male Christian Supremacy is predominated in your society due to historical roots tracing back to the Massachusetts Colonies in the 17th century then your Democracy fails like as if it ever existed at all and we're just seeing it's true form slowly revealed to us.
Ended? Not if we do our damn jobs as Americans!
VOTE, MOTHERFUCKER!!!
Don't forget the Russian astroturfing
I’ve thought the very same thing. Seems like they can’t help themselves from bringing Obama into the conversation every time. Or Michelle. It sort of feels like a flex from conservatives to remove rights of others just to prove a point.
Send the asteroid? Wtf did the rest of the world do to deserve that?
Let’s not forget the Russian propaganda, and Australia’s own Rupert Murdoch hooking up with the devil himself putin to make it all happen
I absolutely believe this to be true. And because he didn't give LE a pass for bad behavior, that really cranked them up. & that tan suit.
We’re boned
Lol I don’t know about greatest 😆
Hmm no I think rich people wanting a little more started way before this
If you believed Michael Moore, also because Trump was pissed that NBC paid Gwen Stefani more.
So many great comments in this post. I found my people. Is there a way we can form a union and collective bargain for our civil rights back?
It can't be overstated that America is not the greatest democracy. It's the oldest, and it's never been successfully reproduced. Other younger democracies learned from mistakes and have fixed some of the problems our system created. It's possible to fix our system, too, but the first step is acknowledging it's not the best system. It did very well, all things considered.
If advanced alien visitors are black it'll probably result in immediate annihilation of all humans.
Greatest democracy?? Hahahaha!!
Was it the slavery? The segregation? Bought and sold politicians for literally hundreds of years? Starting wars around the world? Gerrymandering? Remind me why it’s the greatest…
Your comment makes it sound like ANY country without a pristine faultless history isn’t worthy of praise.
There's a difference between "worthy of praise" and "greatest democracy" - let's not break our backs moving goalposts.
I’m not trying to move goal posts, I suppose each of us wants to believe the country we are from is better than it really is.
that pretty much sums it up in a single sentence.
This!
In a nutshell, yes
Thanks Obama
And or because the reality star has videos of them visiting Epstein island. Exhume Ivana NOW!!
*And ran a qualified woman the next cycle.
I beg citizens of the USA to vote for freedom (Joe Biden) to protect your own freedom, and the freedom of the world. This is a dangerous situation that can be avoided by the will of the people. Please look after your own interests
Conservatives need to get over the fact that the black guy won and it isn't leave it to beaver-land anymore.
Can't reason with a drunk.
Ive always said it's Obamas fault...and not for being elected or being black....it's because of this video!!!
( Thanks Obama)
We can't have the inmates running the prison!
Pretty much
I feel like I need to be updated on everything cause I’ve been off apps for the past month and good lord I don’t know what I missed. What did conservatives do because of Obama?
The truth hurts - the truth is that DJT was a joke and Barack #Hussein Obama (and Seth Myers) went and said the quiet part out LOUD.
It's the fact that Barack Obama thought he was better than Trump that was unforgivable
Some people need to take one for the team
The greatest democracy.. LMAO
The greatest democracy the world has ever seen? Really? The democracy where there's a 30% chance for any bill to pass regardless of public support? The democracy where the majority party hasn't won several times in the last two and a half decades due to a stupid first past the post system? The democracy whose entire existence hinges on a 6-3 majority in one single court?
Yeah, the greatest democracy the world has ever seen.
Agreed, send the asteroid, specifically to Mar a Lago.
The trumpet is a real estate agent, his goal to sell the republic of the United States land to the highest bidders making human trafficking legal and medical cruelty the culling method. The trumpets worshippers do not realize they are the first sold. Fascism does not need, voters, taxpayers or civilians to stay in power. Human trafficking on a scale even Moses has never seen. Make the trumpet stop. 😢
Exactly. This is it in a nutshell.
Concise and to the point
100% on pinpoint, been saying this for years
So like, if anybody moving to New Zealand or Australia or anywhere I want to say that I’m willing to pay 50% of whatever rent there has to be payed hell I’ll even share a bed if it means getting out
S/ chill fam
Yep. That about sums it up.
This is so freakin accurate.
How true
Since when has America been a democracy
Since always? It's a democratic-republic, also a republic is still a form of democracy
Well said sir! TRUTH
Well said and perfectly succinct
Really, cue the asteroid I'm ready for my next experience please make it quick, not slow and painful /s
Headed to the beach for the tsunami like that one character and her dad did in Deep Impact? I’ll be by the public access ramp.

This can’t be overstated. A Black Man being elected President of the United States broke the brains of Conservatives all over the Country who were raised to believe that people of color were somehow inferior to them.
