One of my girlfriends had this particular smell even after showering she would start smelling the moment she would start sweating for whatever reason I could start noticing it and I would never tell because it never bothered me, I guess quite the contrary in fact. The thing is, Im aware that most people would (maybe?) Find it unpleasant and I almost even like it more than normal perfume. But if a girl pases by me and I notice this scent i feel some sort of infatuation or attraction. And I don't know why
That's true. I am not 100% sure but a professor in med school told us that you can "smell" certain MHC/HLA receptors on commensal bacteria of other people. When you sweat, bacteria metabolize the sweat and other people can smell the metabolites. Because everybody has different and specific MHC/HLA receptors, you can smell how compatible you are with another person because MHC/HLA is genetically determined.

If I recall correctly she used to love her husband's smell then it changed.. apparently when he developed Parkinson's. She made the correlation when they went to a support group and everyone smelled the same. I think about this a lot because my husband has a unique but good smell. No, because they did a test smelling, and she identified everyone but one correctly, just for that one to be diagnosed with Parkinson's later on. Unlikely, they already had Parkinson's related secondary symptoms, like yeast infections. She just has got a really good sense of smell, and it seems like Parkinson's changes s.th. about the metabolism, which makes people smell different and people diagnosed with Parkinson's, start smelling distinctly similar to each other, enough so, that she could tell, who has got it and who doesn't.

It’s more likely it’s a simple Pavlovian response. In other words, his brain has linked the smell to girls/sexual arousal. It isn’t an innate feature of the chemicals being secreted, but rather learned.
My little brother smells like nail varnish when he's hungry and both me any my mum know that's why he smells like that on instinct. Sure we might not technically have pheromones but we clearly have colloquial pheromones.

There are still studies ongoing about that. We do seem to produce some type of pheromone-like steroids that do play a part in arousal via neural pathways.
We do seem to lack the presence of a vomeronasal/Jacobson's organ (or only have rudimentary leftovers of that) but this doesn't necessarily mean there isn't another pathway to observe pheromones conscious or unconscious.
A few studies have proven people find people or places more attractive when being exposed to axillary steroids. Some of these studies aren't up to modern standards but a few of them are and (to me) it remains a fascinating topic.
Ps. I want to add, that I have seen absolutely zero form of evidence in the working of so-called pheromone perfumes. The manufacturers of those perfumes have spread some serious bullshit and have funded a number of studies that fail to meet the criteria of serious science.
