He got pictures taken with an agent and a baby which are currently in a box filled with wife mementos in his room, which he keeps locked away because it's too painful, ready to go at any point someone comes to their house asking asinine questions. Just no one asked for picture proof of his dead wife yet and it wouldn't serve the plot to go further into details when we can easily fill in the blanks with a bit of imagination like I just did.
