This is what I do too. It makes putting them up on the tree magical.

Yup. And unflinching obedience. I moved away as soon as I could from that "good parenting."

I love a pea chia! Mine is named PeaSouped and I love him 😍

Completely emphasize with you. I have a happy but absolutely not an easy baby. We have tried to take her places and I can count on one hand our “successes.” If one more person tells me to babywear I’m going to explode. As if I haven’t tried seven carriers.

Yes. I can count the number of times on one hand “but I have done so much for them!!” when they mean they put money in an envelope for a wedding, etc. and yet they didn’t visit when their uncle’s wife died. They’re not there for anyone when it really counts and requires something difficult on their end. It’s amazing to me how many people have gone NC with him over the years and there’s no accountability. Always the victim like you said.

My husband’s stepmother is also Balkan and I’m 💯sure she’s BPD as well. He went NC a long time ago, thankfully. I am understanding of the trauma in the region, but the complete inability to understand that they have a problem baffles me every time. If it was so cultural, why don’t they have any friends or loved ones who stay?

Yes. My father is a Balkan immigrant and all of his behavior was him being “overprotective” — when it was classic BPD behavior. He has been totally validated by others. The only person who stood up for me was his brother, who obviously saw what was happening and knew something was off.

Same! Or if there are enough 30s bitches we could do that too

Thank you! It’s the little things!

Yes, exactly. We’ve tried to take her everywhere but she wants none of it. She’s a happy but very sensitive baby. Conditions have to be exactly right, and when does that ever happen? We have cheered a trip to Target where she only cried hysterically once. That was a major accomplishment.

Oh man. This is why, at 35, I still don't have my license. I'm now paying for a kind, patient professional to teach me and it's been night and day. If you can, I'd recommend going solely that route.

I have literal cptsd flashbacks from my "lessons" with my dad.

Yeah, they really are NBD often!

CONGRATULATIONS! This is so exciting!!

I recently learned that cysts can also be caused by thyroid issues! I also developed some and was so worried about PCOS, but it worked out and I just had hypothyroidism and needed some meds, and was able to carry an adorable baby to term. Just flagging in case it's helpful to you!

Thank you for sharing the jeweler recommendation! I’m three months postpartum and was thinking about a resizing because mine still don’t fit.

Yes, and I still haven’t been able to wear mine 3 months postpartum. Hoping when I lose a bit of weight they’ll fit again!
